Did Pinter evade his Jewishness? I mean I suppose there are few direct references to it in his work and he did tend to come across as a somewhat received pronounciation typical actor type (which it is clear from his work and what he actually said that he wasn't...at least not totally) but the Homecoming has always struck me as a uniquely jewish existential dilemma and gathering of characters...been a while since I read it but one of the characters may denounce Jews...but I can't remember...
