In today's Family Farm Vlog, our pair of geese have been sitting on eggs for well over 40 days now, and it is obvious these eggs are no good, but she will not stop sitting. So we got 2 gosling babies from ‪@ChestnutHillsFarmstead‬ and are going to give them to our geese in hopes she will get off the goose nest and raise these goslings as her own.

I’m leaglly blind in my right eye and had 3 surgeries on my left eye snd scar tissue grew into my field of vision so my eye sight is very limited ! Please forgive my mistakes in typing! Have you thought of charring the outside of the oak beams? From what I understand it makes them last a very long time when they’re in contact with soil and water. Y’all are sweet for getting sour cream and cantaloupe and baby!

We just did this for our geese! We had a predator stealing their eggs early in the season so we had to take them all and incubate them ourselves. I was soooooo happy to see them take to them 😍😍😍

The "dirt"drill is also good for mixing your potting soil. Another you tuber makes his own potting soil and he uses the drill to mix it. Works great! Now all you need is a rolling garden cart you sit on and move down the rows. Keeps you from bending over so much.

I think you can get an auger that's a bit wider and long enough to use standing up. Probably called a bulb planter. Also, bring it up and down a couple times, and a bit deeper to break up hard soil at the bottom of the hole. Thanks for sharing these videos with us all! Great progress! :-)

Brooke, I keep forgetting to mention how much I like your hair. That style looks so nice on you! Jason, use the Grower's Solutions ground cover to line the inside of the beds to be able to keep weeds and grass from coming up, but also to have a barrier between the wood and the dirt to a small extent. That might help to protect the wood longer. I love that fabric and use it in my raised beds to keep weeds down in them. Works absolutely great as you know from your flower garden. We use an auger like that to do my plants. Works great!
