Wish I saw this video before I bought 3 Sonoff switches for my Tuya Zigbee GW. It's not working similar to this video. My Sonoff motion detector and Sonoff smoke detector works fine. Zigbee standard is a thing, we still need to watch videos like that before buying. I payed my learning money again...

if someone interested the sonoff button can be used with tuya gateway but not easy way) it appears that button sends "off" state and become unavailable in 1 min. so it is possible to do some automation but unfortunately not as it is designed by sonoff)

How works SNZB-03 "Due to power consumption and power-saving considerations, there have some restrictions on the trigger That is: when SNZB-03 detects the movement, it will send a signal to ZBBridge If the device does not detect any movement for one minute, once the device triggered, it will send a signal to ZBBridge If any movement is detected within one minute, the device will not send a trigger to ZBBridge. And effective detection and trigger signals to ZBBridge will be delayed for one minute. It means the motion sensor works with one-minute intervals."

Sorry no idea. I think it is less hit and miss what 433 MHz RF was, but I can't tell how you can be certain besides testing it out.

Yes I did a video on that too. Some worked, some not. But there is a lot of change on Zigbee for Sonoff now. With the new NSPanel pro, sonoff supports a lot more 3rd party zigbee devices.

I have large Sonoff + eWelink system but some sensors they didnt offer (for example AAA batery powered, not coin battery), or thay havent more - vibration sensor, alarm siren, gas detector ... all for ZigBee. I suppose Zigbee is very specified by protocol and profiles (so it may work), but depends on chinese implementation of full Zigbee or lightweight Zigbee... . For example vibration sensor I cannot pair with ZB GW, with latest firmware 1.7.0 (comes few days ago)

@@kristianprokupek6606 Yes I noticed the same. If Sonoff supports a type of sensor, other sensors from other brands will work as well. For example a zigbee radiator themostat does not work as they have not implemented that profile.

You are trying to pair the Sonoff Zigbee PIR sensor right? If it does not work, I don't have any ideas. Make sure it is in pairing mode (long press the reset button until the faint LED starts blinking)

There has been a development now. You can set up a screen when the Sonoff button is pressed, and on the action side you select a light, or switch and now there is an option called "Reverse". It will turn it on if it is off and vice versa.

You just push the button for a long time to get it into pairing mode. And you can add it to the Sonoff gateway.

You can't. The zigbee devices are interchangeable between ecosystems, but the bridge/gateway is not (or at least I have no idea how). They run a firmware specific to these ecosystems (Sonoff or Tuya). So you need to purchase a Tuya compatible bridge if you want to use Tuya/Smart Life app.

I'm just wondering, if I have both rf 433, wifi and zigbee devices and I want to combine them, can it work offline? Let's say I have a zigbee motion sensor, but I want to switch an rf 433 controlled light source as it's alarming. Or if I have a wifi thermostat and I want to control a zigbee controlled heater.... It's clear I can connect them by a zigbee bridge (gateway) or an rf 433 bridge. It's clear I can give the commands in the mobile application what to do for specific actions. BUT it is not clear, what if there is no internet connection or my phone is out of battery, etc. Are the bridges still communicate to each other? Are they still know what to do? It's important for me because I want to combine more devices, because each protocol have it's own advantage and disadvantages despite of the situation and the tasks. I'm not a professional, sorry if it's a silly question.

It is not a silly question, and unfortunately all this need internet connection. Anything that you specify in the define in the scenes runs in the cloud. So that works as long as you have working internet connection. So the mix of 433 and zigbee will not make the setup and worse. But I am not aware of other solution which works locally. Of course there are very good DIY options, but that requires some serious learning.

Hi Csongor, regarding Tuya hub and Sonoff T&H sensor, I tried to connect 2 of my sensors to Tuya hub and connected successfully. But, there is no change of temperature/humidity on both sensors., it doesn't refresh and stays unchanged. Also, sensors disconnects from Tuya hub after approx 12 hours, and stay offline until reset. Changed batteries, but the same. They work flawlessly on Sonoff hub. Can you check, if it the same with yours?

I have to be honest, I mostly used it for shorter testing and the review. They are now connected all over the place, maybe I left them at Sonoff, I am not even sure. But I never had similar issues. The devices stay connected to the hub. I am starting to think that maybe you should be suspicious of your hub. To bad they don't show the signal strength so you can't tell if they are on the edge of reception or not. But if they work fine with Sonoff hub, I would suspect your Tuya hub is the culprit.

I think for that reason it will likely not work. Since there is no light sensor in Sonoff, the Sonoff system is not designed to handle that data. You could probably pair it with the Sonoff Zigbee hub, but it will not appear as a valid device.

Yes that is correct. But with that gateway you will be able to connect loads of zigbee sensors.

The Sonoff Zigbee Bridge can only be used in eWelink. You can pair zigbee devices from a different brands to it. But if you are using Tuya, you need a Tuya compatible ZB Bridge.

Sorry to hear that. I am not sure if it will ever work, or what is really broken to tell if it can be fixed. Maybe if a similar device is released in Tuya. But I am sure that there are other buttons. IFTTT may work, but IFTTT is only enabled for a paid eWelink account.
