Are there follow up videos for the SpotOn yet. Can’t seem to locate. This is a great video. Thank you. Wish I had seen it before we ordered our collar yesterday. Great work.

I like the idea of this fence. And it will work in many situations probably. But hi would put a real fence up on your property. I know it'll cost an arm and two legs but it will be worth it in the end.

Thank you. 😊 Unfortunately, we don't live where we are able to put up a physical fence or we would.

When will the next video you spoke about be posted?

Thank you for asking... the second video of our experience with SpotOn is up. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnrYnHqNecSWo9E. I will be publishing more on SpotOn in the coming months as well since we now have a great deal more experience with it. I'm always happy to answer any questions you have as well.

Is there a function that calls the dog to return to the owner...like a whistle or something? I saw on another review that the Halo collar does this.

Great question. Currently SpotOn does not have a recall feature, but that may be something they add in the future.

Does it hurt the dogs ?
@BigDogMom2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for asking. Great question. No, I would never use something on my dogs that would hurt them. While the functionality is there to use a static stimulation (shock), I have no intention of needing it. I will be sharing much more about the features and benefits of the collars in my next video, so I will be sure to address this.

It might be OK for your dogs BUT if other dogs come into their space now what?? Does it keep other loose off leash dogs from going into there space?
@BigDogMom2 жыл бұрын
You make a good point. No, it doesn't stop another dog from coming onto our property. Unfortunately, for those of us who are unable to erect a physical fence, no matter what we do, other dogs will be able to come on our property. Thankfully, that has never happened with or without SpotOn. People around here are good about keeping their dogs on leash, so hopefully, we will never have an issue.

@@BigDogMom thanks for replying. No fences are I think a pretty good thing. The unobstructed view of seeing the land scape with no fencing is I think pretty wounderful!!! All we need are all animal owners to respect their animals and do the smart thing to keep your animals safe as well as theirs safe too.

Big plus for owning a big dog... The neighbor's Pitbull that killed a cat of ours didn't return a second time after being greeted by our BULLMASTIFF.....

Your collars are so loose . And the longer progs are for thicker furred dogs look up proper collar fitting and don't think you know better

Two things - First, this was a genuine unboxing and first stab at using these collars - I have adjusted them over time now that we have been using them for well over a year. Second, the longer prongs are not just for longer haired dogs. As you may notice from my dogs, their necks are ginormous and the amount of loose skin is significant - so much so, that the shorter prongs had no effect on them. I don't use the static settings, just vibrate, and I've found the longer prongs to be more effective for us. My boys do not wear the collars in the house, so the length of the prong is not an issue for them.
