“All fish burgers should be waffled” is something I need on a T-shirt. Hilarious episode, thank you!
@EbonRaven9 ай бұрын
I've actually put rice in my mini waffle maker before. You absolutely must put oil on the waffle maker first so it doesn't stick, but it comes out tasty. Nice and crispy on the surface. I've also made tuna mayo onigiri and waffled that. You need oil, but oooooh, that one is so tasty! Now I need to see if I can find a couple of convenience foods that I don't normally buy and see if they will taste good from the waffle maker. :)

Some of the food came out as a fail, but the video was definitely a success! I would love to see more of this!!

And there it is folks, Peak KZbin 👍 A silent and faceless but extremely likable host puts random things in a waffle maker, with amusing result and added ASMR goodness. I'm glad I was here for it, but it's all downhill from here folks 🎉 Glad it was achieved by one of my favourite channels, congrats 😉

Don't you need to spray the waffle maker first?
@roryadair35109 ай бұрын
My immediate thought. Some failures probably could have been avoided with this step and a longer cook time.

Yeah most of the failures seemed preventable. Except the corn snack one, no saving that one.

Fun video. As soon as you put one pizza on, I thought, no - two. Then next try, you were successful with two. Maybe try the shredded veggie tempura dish (sorry, do not remember the proper name). Or, the one with red ginger. With noodles, add an egg.
@elintonettetviberg55249 ай бұрын
Yup, agree with others. Youve got to put some kind of fat on the maker before adding stuff.
@KarateKim9 ай бұрын
I agree with Sakja . You just need to spray the surface with “Pam” cooking spray to get everything to pop right out. Pam is a sprayable vegetable oil. But this was definitely fun . thanks and cheers.
@ronalddevine95879 ай бұрын
You should have brushed with oil the sweet potato, the sandwiched pizza, and the sushi. They might not have stuck so much.
@dannyemory62619 ай бұрын
At least you tried. But at least both the Corn Dog and the Fish Burger was successful! 👍 Here's two of my suggestions that you can try making it into a waffle: 1) Takoyakis (fried octopus balls) 2) Either a hamburger or a cheese burgers? 🤔🍔

I think that maki sushi could have done with some cooking oil spray on the waffle iron and left in there long enough to make rice crispies. Also maybe instant yakisoba instead of instant ramen.

Thank you, I was dying from laughing so hard. Oh my, god it was a hoot. I really needed a good laugh. Try using some oil or butter spray next time so nothing sticks. Maybe some aluminum foil to cover the top and bottom of the food and spay with some oil. But please, do some more food in the waffle iron.

Your sweet potato would have worked if you'd brushed oil onto it first. It would have worked better if you'd cut it into thick slices, then brushed oil onto it. I've reheated potato that way. Many things that are dry on the outside will work, with or without oil. I've reheated falafel and vegetable pakoras in a waffle maker, and chicken in batter. Scones and pastries will work, though if they have a lot of sugar in them they will burn very fast. And if you squash down the lid, most things with a runny filling will leak all over the place, then burn.

You should try using all different kind of Rice balls. The waffle maker whould scorch the outside of the rice ball. So you will end up with scorched waffle rice ball. I think that would be interesting to try different flavors.

I love will it waffle videos.. so many different results. I think some of the issues you had might be helped by spraying some vegetable oil onto the waffle iron before adding food. It will help with the sticky problems and give a more crispy crust to things like the pizzas.

Use oil next time. Stuff is sticking because you're supposed to oil the surfaces of the waffle iron. For 'loose' stuff like noodles or corn puffs, maybe try making a batter with eggs and milk or something like that, so it binds together. Otherwise there is nothing to stick any of it together, and you just make a pointless mess.

Also, since a waffle machine is technically a double frying pan, you could cook meat without having to flip. You could make bread and other things. You can try to pop a popcorn kernel or make smores. I have made smores this way, it works great, just a pain to clean the marshmallow remains afterwards 😅

I literally screamed "Noooo" when you picked up the sushi at the store. And I had my doubts about the corndog but was mistaken. Definitely trying that someday. You should go to Yokohama and get a bag of the uncooked prawn chips. The hard ones that you put in oil and they puff up. I'm curious if the heat from the waffle maker would still make them puff up or if they'd stay hard.🤔

Try gently closing the lid instead of pressing down when you make the pizza. I have a Panini press and the mistake we made was pressing down hard on the lid. The cheese would ooze all over and it was a big mess.

Try with parchement paper on both levels and have sushi in the middle. You´ll probably just heat the sushi since there ain´t any kind of flourlike ingredient.
