Don't be too impressed. If "real" Japanese sources are to be believed, he was only able to do and film all this because he dodged several security guards who would question what he planned to do with all that food. The setup is amazing, no argument, but I imagine the penalty for littering is jail time or worse! Notice how he never spoke? My guess is he didn't want to raise suspicion.

7:52 This was my favorite summertime snack/treat when I was a kid!! It’s so old school and I love to see that ppl all around the world still enjoy them. 🥰 My mom would buy a big bunch of the golden (green) moscato grapes every couple of weeks. She’d wash them off, dry them and freeze them in a big Tupperware bowl. I would do the same for my son when he was growing up…. And he’s now 30 years old. So, it’s a treat that my family has enjoyed for at least 45 years. I also enjoy frozen orange slices, frozen banana (round slices), frozen red grapes and frozen kiwi slices. 😋 ✌🏻💕

I am from Texas and I was very impressed by how hot/humid it gets in Japan. I was there summer of 2001. Oh goodness...very hot. And at the time very few places had icy cold air conditioning that I was used to in America. I enjoyed myself, but the next time I visited Tokyo, we came in the spring. :) We drank a lot of Pocari Sweat, ice cream and CC Lemon. lol
@Kehy_ThisNameWasAlreadyTaken Жыл бұрын
Ah, so probably somewhat similar to a Seattle summer. We watch Arizonan tourists melt for entertainment, despite being a cooler climate because they didn't consider humidity. AC is also less common here- window units are probably the most common form, but probably less than half-a third of people have them. Heating however is essential. Our winters are fairly mild, but everything is so wet that it seems to magnify the cold.

I would imagine a vending area like this would last about twenty minutes in New York City. The microwave’s would be gone in as much time as it takes to cut the bolts securing them to the racks. Imagine a hanging pair of scissors anywhere in NY! Interesting choices, fries aside, the food looks quite good. Thanks, DancingBacons.
@Lv-nq9qz Жыл бұрын
In from NY and im offended, but I also agree, this would never fly here. First of all, someone would burn themselves on an okonomiyaki and sue the city for 4 million dollars, nevermind how quickly those microwaves would disappear. (Your being gracious by suggesting 20 minutes)

I feel like these places would benefit from also having a toaster oven. Things like french fries get so soggy and other items as well being microwaved. I never realized how useful toaster ovens were until I couldn't access a kitchen to make real food. It definitely makes a difference, especially with fried foods, helps retain that crispiness its supposed to have, rather than being chewy or soggy. I love watching all of your videos, you always give good reviews on things. I especially love the ones where you buy a lot of different items and try them out at home. Thanks for sharing with us!
