The boat collecting the bin bags is also a pump out boat that calls at the holiday homes. It is named Louise - Loo ease!!

Remember back in 90s on Fine Santiago waiting at the Pilot berth for the water level to drop to no avail. Told he could get us through but couldn’t guarantee us getting back. Long faces as a trip to The Pleasureboat Inn and fishing on Hickling Broad off the agenda. Still a fantastic holiday, one of many on the Broads!👍

Sadly that’s quite common with Potter Bridge. October onwards with spring tides. Glad you enjoyed your holiday though.

Ooooer , i bet that bin barge smellt lovely lol , it's surprising how many big boats manage to get through that small bridge , & i really did'nt think that big wooden boat would get through it though , but it did .

Concidering all the boats on that small piece of water there were a lot of birds, ducks etc flying around.

They’ve been there for years as they know the holidaymakers will feed them lots 😋🐦🐤🐧. They’re not in the least bit bothered by all the boats. I imagine because they were raised there and know nothing else. Lots at Wroxham too... probably more than Potter. 😀

7:45 is when the Bridge Pilot takes the boat through the bridge very slowly with just millimeters to spare. I’d watched him actually measure the boat with a tape measure prior to taking it through. They also filled up the water tank to weigh it down. Great fun to watch.
