My young nephew's funeral was held yesterday,taken suddenly and so young. Thank you to the Brandenberger family for easing my sorrow.

On the sad day of my Precious Momma’s funeral, I walked outside of the funeral home just before her service began to have some much needed alone time. I saw the undertaker walk up the driveway behind the home to the hearse garage. As he got into the vehicle, I began to sing this old hymn. Life is sometimes wonderful, sometimes difficult and always changing. I’m old now and will soon leave this world. I truly pray that the circle of family and friends will not be broken. Thank you for your beautiful rendition of this much beloved song.

Beautiful song, beautiful video. My dad used to play this song to me when I was little. Along with a Carter Family song "Picture on the wall" about a old and faded picture on the wall, it's a picture of my mother and there is no other so dear. I usually don't care for guitar music because it is usually just someone struming chords, but this was different. I love the fiddle because she played melody, as did the mandolin, and banjo. A surprise to me is when the one guitar player played the melody. I guess I like to hear someone pick a guitar instead of strum chords. I play a harmonica, but I learn the melody from sheet music and add the harmony later. The vocals in this video were great, the best I've heard since the Nitty Gritty DIrt Band. Wow wonderful great family story, what a performance the guy on banjo, is the one l watch, he is a star of the camera world.
