I must commend you, Eric, for not having a failing that I have. I have two sons that I would LOVE to teach more stuff to, being mechanical or computer/tech wise... But I have a serious failing where I can't stand by and watch them struggle with something. You seem to be able to let Seatcover do what she needs to do, even if it seems like she's struggling a bit. Nothing against Seatcover! That's for sure. It's a failing of my own which I wish I could get over because I get so frustrated if I have to oversee one of my boys doing something that I could do in 1/2 the time. Again, kudos to you!

I watched an hour long You Tube video about a refrigerator which (I believe) is the exact same make and model as yours. It drove it's owner quite mad over the course of a couple of years. His problem with it was that it sometimes over cooled and sometimes undercooled. Sometimes in the freezer bit and sometimes in the fridge part. He wanted to know why. And he set out determined to know why and to fix it. In a few ways, like not using fans to move cold air around inside. the red fridge is not like others, Which led him on a long string of ex[eriments chasing red herring. In the end the problem was that the maker of that fridge put the sensor for the thermostat in the side wall of the fridge with the wall ob one side and the cooling coil on the other. The fix was a new thermostat with a temperature probe placed inside the fridge where the temperature matters. Anyhow if you end up with the same problem now you know the fix.

I am appreciating seeing Mara getting involved in building her tow truck, expanding on her own talents and experience. I feel like I'm learning alongside her. Obviously I'm not, but but it's entertaining to be invited into witness the process. Too many of my favourite KZbin content providers all too often will tell me what they are doing is boring, so won't share it onscreen. I find that slightly insulting, even if it is not intentional. What you guys do is totally exotic to me here in Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, where offroading and rock crawling are pretty much always expected to be done on foot. Over here we also have a very strict mandatory annual Ministry of Transport test for vehicles of 3years or older, to prove they are safe and roadworthy, not a potential danger to other road users or members of the public. Older vehicles eg tend to rust through, fail their 'MOT', so consequently are uninsurable, banned from use on the public highway. Govt vehicle anti-emmissions regulations also mean that older more poluting engines here in Europe are punitively taxed off the road.

They are inexpensive compared to most refrigerators . But somewhere on You Tube theres a video of a guy who was driven to distraction for a couple of years trying to get one to stop overcooling and undercooling rabdomly for reasons that eluded him. Eventually he found out that they put the temperature probe from the thermostat in a silly place. The fix was a new thermostat which measured temperature of the air in the same place where the food goes. Your mileage may vary.

Eric there is no such thing as to big to weld lol. Well I mean there could be but not really. Carbon block backer and fill it with fillet welds. I am also a certified welder as well as a lead automotive technician. I am 4G unlimited in mig wire welder and 2 g unlimited in arc / stick welding lol.

Didn't see which engine/transmission was removed from seatcovers jeep wrecker, and realize the ls is just the latest fad for everybody to swap into everything but I think a amc V8 or perhaps a mopar la, magnum, or a mopar 383 would have been a better choice, but that's just me,, tho with the spacious engine bay of the older pickups literally any engine from any manufacturer would fit

Originally, the truck would have had a 230ci Jeep Tornado 6. But it was just a rolling chassis when they bought it. So the LS is a cheap way to go and Eric is used to working on them during the day.

Erick I would mock up the exhaust manifold/headers before welding anything. Double check you have clearance especially with the steering shaft.

Chevrolet LS I believe they said. Modern engines look a lot different without all the wires, sensors, and plastic covers.

It's a modern Chevy LS. I can't remember if they said the size but 5.3L and 6.0L are the common sizes. Because it's missing all the wiring and intake it looks different.

Hello,is her truck a stick shift on the floor or automatic 🤔, because if it's a stick shift on the floor, you didn't even put in the clutch pack & pressure plate on the flywheel & don't say it's on there because I watched the video & there's no clutch pack & pressure plate on the flywheel unless it's a automatic transmission then no clutch pack & pressure plate is needed

What's with these ls engines, me myself in an application like this I'd install a Cummins or caterpillar turbo in. If you want to race get an ls oh! Wait I stand to be corrected I just watched a video where they installed a Cummins in a dragster man it was sick they broke the record for dragster in the 1/4 mile like 3.something seconds. So there you have it gas motors are out.lol

LS is Light Last Cummins I looked at was not Cummins bare Cummins 1,100 lbs Bare LS6 - weighs 460 lbs if your going offroading you do not want a fricken diesel

Because the new 18v cordless stuff is great. Air tools suck unless you have a massive compressor with the pressure set way higher than it needs to be.
