I love the show, but I thought the ending is season 2 was incredibly dark. They are the only self aware complete people in their world. Their parents and family and friends are shallow copies taken from their memories, with no memories of their own. They can never have new conversations about their loved ones past, or read a book they’ve never read before, or watch anything new. A and while the Real Skeeter is alive, we’ve established that the copy was still a real person who Did die. They are essentially the only 5 real people with only hallow shells for company, knowing they’ll never accomplish any of their hopes for the future. Will they even age? It just seems really sad

So much all of the above. I felt transported to the Twilight Zone when in the end they decided to treat those glorified video recordings as fully-fledged copies of their loved ones. (And sorry, but saving the Three Little Piggies achieved nothing when those incarnations of them got destroyed right after at the end of this edition of the game, anyway. Unless they glitched over to The Hollow Life, I guess.) Just going wild at school/in town with no real consequences would be fun for a while, and having a teenage body forever isn't the worst thing in the world, but such a never-changing life surrounded by fake people is bound to ultimately make you go crazy. Also, it's an utterly massive server; either they're at risk of getting shut off at any moment, or (if Gustaf somehow got them multiple levels of technical and financial fail-safes), they could outlive everyone they know by decades, even centuries. (I guess that leaves a silver lining of them maybe being rediscovered one day and downloaded into physical bodies in a sci-fi future...) And on a related note, I'd like to point out that Adam and Reeve making up feels kind of hollow (#rollcredits) when you don't know if their real selves ever stopped being stubborn for a moment to actually communicate and clear up their simple misunderstanding. Not satisfying.

I only learnt about it with season 2. Watched it casually over a few days and ended up kinda into it. Its very rough but by the end i could say i was happy to have watched it. Also it might just be the first time PUTTING THE REST BELOW JUST IN CASE PEOPLE CARE ABOUT IT FOR SPOILERS. a main character was straight up gay in a cartoon series. "Dude, I'm gay" might just be the best line i have heard from a character in western animation in the last 10 years. Honestly so sick of "Yeah we all know X is gay but no one tell the censors or bigots!" and "Its ok, thats a side character who is ultimately unimportant to the story at large and therefore acceptably gay". I mean just have characters be things and say it when it comes up. When i was asked back in my high school days i answered and wondered why straight wasn't an option. Thats just how life works. Its a moment and then no one cares.

you also see this in the animated show Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts. A character confesses their crush and the character is just like "man sorry but I'm gay" and it's lovely. He's not a token minority character. He's himself before he's black or gay. Cool approach and delivery

I've finished and... It's a very cliché concept, but not that one where it ends like crap. The philosophycal message was deep and real and rarely seen in a kids show, I like it. I think this characters could come back in an interactive movie o season like bandersnatch from black mirror (Yeah, Black mirror is great but when i was talking about that cliché that ends like that crap emotions...) Otherwise, it can end in an actual videogame.

I knew it was had a similar feel to Over the Garden Wall! I’m really glad that was pointed out, by the creator! I really like sort of genre of “Where are we? How did we get here?” It’s always really fun and there’s so much you can do with it. If you like The Hollow, you will definitely like OTGW. Please watch it, so little people have it’s a crime. It has a similar sort of mystery feel to it, but it’s also really unique, please go watch it.

The ending for season 2 was a cliffhanger for sure,but I think there's a way to end it better. I think since weird guy (Gustav) is aware of the self-aware virtual avatars he should be able to notify the real kai,Adam and Mira. Then they can remerge the real ones with the digital ones,and that way their experiences don't get erased and they live on. Also,season 3 can focus on revealing more about the evil hollow game company.

Kinda, it depends, since the production team (Slap Happy Cartoons) is a small team they take longer even if the animation style is pretty simple. Even with their previous show, Nerds and Monsters, it’s a simple animation style but it also took them two years for them to release the second season for it. As well with Corona Quarantine it would still take a while for season 3. This is just a theory but I believe if quarantine wasn’t around and the hollow gets a greenlight for season 3 this month or in the next 2 months, if they started working on it it would come out by mid or late 2021.

But hearing that they seem to have only been friends, I guess he literally has the pick of the town with who to date. This has the memories of them and all the other players, so that's more then enough fish to net. I should never be trapped in a digital world without consequences, I'd flirt up everything that moved and occasionally just take advantage of knowing I'm basically immortal aside from physical death. ButbMira powers to talk to animals really shines, the other two can't really exploit their powers in the peaceful sim world.

After all, it would make no sense to follow the real versions of them anymore since they are probably in school living normal lives now. Very good. William is really matching for the purple guy. BTW I think Zanes power is more than just electricity getting shot. When he shot it at the ship the gun glitches up and couldn't work. So what if he can control tech and because of this he can take the electricity out of technology so that's why he can shoot it. It also debunks the theory of Zane having the s ame powers as the weather guy. Also in the end of season one we see Kai choose his power. If you pause you can see certain logos. There is a wrench logo and a lighting one. Most would look back at this and assume Zane's power he choose was the lighting logo. But if he can control tech then wouldn't it be the wrench. People would say that's Kai's second power but he can only have one and thats just his own intelligence on machines. Sorry if this was too long an d it annoyed you. I think y oh did a very good job on guessing these names.
