Since when do politicians show their real self 😏 It’s up to “we the people “ to hold them accountable. Even FDR told voters to hold him accountable and “make him do the will of the people”. Voting is just the first step and even Bernie would have needed to be held accountable

"even when they're Americans"!? What does that have to do with the question of murder? Every killing in the pursuit of genocide or unlawful war is murder.

Kamala said in the most recent debate that you played a clip from that healthcare is a "right." She's also done other things that suggest she has progressive leanings, most notably choosing Tim Walz. It does feel like these The Lever videos on Kamala Harris all have negative tones-- as in, not mentioning her language calling healthcare a "right," for example. And I don't know how she'll govern, but I do know we have a climate crisis bearing down and Trump has promised billionaires he'll gut environmental/climate laws: so, as someone who cares about the habitability of this planet, I have no choice but to vote for Kamala-Walz. They're lightyears better than Trump-Vance for average people, even if Kamala-Walz is not ideal. As MLK Jr. said: the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice.

she's free to do whatever she wants - but she has friends in high places who (probably cuz #corruption) she wants to please. Same with every president for a very long time yeah

Over the last few days, election observers have detected a bit of a retrenchment to a more centrist policy outlook by Harris and her team. They seem to be petrified about what will be said about things that clearly have a broad level of public support. I would hope that advisers like her very liberal VP pick will give her a little pep talk and a dash of backbone

Tim Walz? Very liberal? How far right do you have to go to see that perspective? 🤔
@66zebulonАй бұрын
@@malapertfourohfour2112 In today's political climate, whatever your base opinion may be of Walz, I'm afraid that "very liberal" covers him. I'm well aware that a sizable arc of the spectrum isn't even accounted for. I'll leave that to better minds than my own
@malapertfourohfour2112Ай бұрын
@@66zebulon maybe if you think today's political climate means exclusively the machine powering American corporatocracy and just exclude every single voice outside of that narrow window. Walz ain't liberal.
@cev12Ай бұрын
@@malapertfourohfour2112 And who are you arguing is better and more left than Walz? Kamala? Vance? Trump? That's who you get a viable choice from in this election to be our next president... Frankly, as a leftist, I'm sick to death of other uptight "leftists" demanding their own personal ideal, and their own personal ideal only to get their presidential vote. There are things that won't wait for your arrogant, egotistical, condescending snobbery... like the climate crisis. Trump has promised Money to gut all environmental/climate regulations, and whatever Harris-Walz does will be better than that. But maybe you're too wrapped up in your own egocentric visions to care about the descent and extinction of other life, which are at our mercy. Get the eff over yourself.
