Will the Sacramento Kings trade for a star--or is this all just a smokescreen?

They don’t need a “star” We need to build the same way Denver did. We have our Murray, Jokic and MPJ in Keegan, Fox and Domas, we even have a leg up on them with Monk off the bench. We need a KCP and an Aaron Gordon, we need the good vets that can come off the bench and provide something for us. We need perimeter defenders and rim protection. We shouldn’t need to pay a ton to get that. Barnes, Huerter, Lyles are expendable. Move them and bring in some defence. If we can get some stops then it takes the pressure off Domas and Fox. Gives them the freedom to go out and score a ton

Don't see them getting Lauri. Ainge just likes to play teams with crazy thresholds on trade, 5 first unprotected.

The Pels mainly want to move Ingram so they can fit Herb Jones into the starting lineup and save money from what I understand

Lauri isnt under contract for long. Given Utah has no motivation to make the playoffs, I doubt he resigns there. Why would we give up tons of picks or Keegan if he’ll be in the free agent market soon?

Monte has shown us he doesn't want to get better thru trade ..he drafts great and trade terrible ....seen it over 3 year...I really want a trade but monte will say I wanna keep my flexibility while we watch everyone get better ...I seen this last year and the year before...utuber need to stop pumping it up

I could agree with this. I mean, all of these are just speculations to give the media something to talk about. I understand the word option and how the FO wants to have that and explore every trades out there but the great teams with great FO already have their minds set on which players they want to trade for because they understand that it would fit right into their system. If the sacramento kings are still exploring trade options and trying to figure out who would fit into our system and also factoring the Financial sides of it then we are doomed. Personally, im not impressed with Monte as of late because it looked like he's not trying to win ( just a passionate king's fan here 😅)
