The problem with a black roof is that it makes the car very hot in the sun. A white roof would be cooler. It would probably look better as well.

Budget build - keep the black roof but make the other changes you want. Get an oem used bonnet as well. Pattern parts give a lot of grief for the supposed saving.

Try Ford for a bonnet. You would be surpised how cheap some genuine Ford panels are.

The engine sounds like My S3...Funny how camera's pick up the injector tapping and then amplify's it 10 times 😂

Check under mirrors for puddle lights. Usualy find if theyre fitted the drivers side one is dead.
