GOD, that SWING!! That opposite field homerun he hit in the college world series just looked so seamless. It was the same swing nearly every time, and the ball just went where it needed to go, WITH POWER. I was so bummed when he retired, not just for being unable to see his talent every again, but for the enthusiasm he brought to every clubhouse.

He just didn't quiet have the numbers. I'm from Texas and i loved him when he played for the Rangers. He was great. But you look at a different first baseman like Palmeiro and the numbers aren't even close. Of course, i guess one could make a case that Will didn't use Steroids and Raffy did but if we went on that metric, we would have to pull many out of the hall. I think both Raffy and Will will make the hall one day. Time will tell

Awesome!!! I grew up watching/idolizing Will Clark, Matt Williams, Brett Butler, Kevin Mitchell, and Jose Uribe. We are a baseball family, and I'm glad I get to pass on that love of the game. Even though I now live in Washington state Giants baseball is the only pro sport watched in this house. :)

Is there any swing better in baseball history? Maybe Griffey, Jr., but that's it, and I'd say they are tied. Loved, and I mean LOVED, Will Clark as a kid. I grew up during his peak. I checked his stats like adults were checking stocks. I'd open up the sports page every day and read his line. As soon as I saw that he had numbers across the line -- AB, R, H, RBI -- I knew there was a chance that he'd hit a home run. Collected his cards, traveled to see him play. Just amazing. He made the sport fun!

Most beautiful, longest, most graceful swing of all time. True perfection. Can only think of Babe Ruth with that long, long stride and swing. When you have a swing like that baseball becomes much more of a mind game. Instead of wait and see (sitting on the back foot) what is so iconic is the commitment to what he was looking for (in a pitch) establishing that early forward movement that the viewer finds special without even knowing why. Ever see him his that home run in the upper deck in Candlestick to walk off after Maldenado homered? Unbelievable. The best.

You want to talk COINCIDENCE...or actually that they TRULY don't exist... 1.) A man who homers in his first at bat off the 95mph GOD Nolan Ryan Clark is my ALL time Favorite baseball player. I was born a right handed batter and furiously trained myself to become a left...because of HIM! I studied his EVERY move, attitude and play BOTH defensive/Offensive. I told my high school coach I was turning from an outfielder to a First baseman/right hand to left...because of HIM. I KNOW every play/stat/occurrence during his tenure in the MLB from 1986 - 2000 AND BEYOND! Still not convinced?! 2.)This post, which I praise by San Francisco Giants, was uploaded on MY Birthday this year 2019. Coincidences...they DON'T EXIST! But CLARK DOES!!! One of the BEST to ever play despite being plagued by injuries. (Caused by his rookie year sliding into base accident) The THRILL...as MANY others will say...FOREVER in MY heart!!

Hey..Does anyone recall the incident at 2:13 ?? I would LOVE to hear/learn what the story was there. It sounds/looks like, to me, that Clark was robbed of a HR by the Umps. Clark ALWAYS said that the weather from "Windlestick Park" cost him at LEAST 10 HRs from his career. I was just wondering if this was one of those cases and, if not, what it was all about.
