Will the Triforce return in The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom?

Honestly, for me, the Triforce being in a game really has to depend on which timeline that game is in. I personally like the idea that the Child Timeline had Ganondorf fail to reach the Triforce in the first place, so the Triforce remained sealed in the Sacred Realm forever. The Triforce is referenced in Twilight Princess, but it is never called by name, so it isn't much of a stretch to suggest that the Symbology we thought references the Triforce could actually be referencing the Blood of the Goddess, the Spirit of the Hero, and the Hatred of Demise. The Triforce being sealed in the Sacred Realm would prevent it from showing up in future games in that Timeline. Similarly, the Triforce that appears in the Adult Timeline was used to drown the Kingdom of Hyrule so that the future generations could go on and have the chance to live in peace. One could argue that the Triforce would maintain the drowned status of Hyrule in that timeline and never appear again going forward. The Downfall Timeline is marked by the Triforce being an active force throughout most of the games that take place in it. The Hero of Time opened the Gate of Time, allowing Ganondorf to reach the Triforce and use it to wish for Power, breaking the Triforce into its pieces, and then the Hero fell, allowing Ganon to reassemble the Triforce, wishing for an immortal body, which allows him to continue to appear throughout the Downfall Timeline. All through that Timeline, the Triforce is a known quantity that is commonly protected by breaking it into its constituent pieces. Ganon's original wish often brings the Triforce of Power back to him, but the Royal Line generally has the Triforce of Wisdom, and the Triforce of Courage is usually either broken down further, or hidden somewhere so that those with the Spirit of the Hero can prove themselves worthy of finding it. Given that we see the pig form of Ganon in the Trailer, which I take to be the magical immortal body the Triforce granted him, I can picture Echos of Wisdom taking place somewhere along the Downfall Timeline, so it is not unreasonable to assume that Zelda will need to either recover the Triforce of Wisdom where it had been stolen from her by Ganon, or find pieces of the Triforce that had been further broken down to safeguard it from evil in the same way that the Hero of Legend needed to find the Pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom in the Original Legend of Zelda.

I think Tri and Tri-rod are merely localisation artifacts. I doubt very much they bear any resemblance to the original Nintendo Japanese words.

I don't think it'll outright come back like it was in something like ALBW. I'm not opposed to it, but I'd really like to have more details on what each piece actually gives to their owner, as that's never really been described. If we don't have more info on how it works, I don't think it'd be that interesting to see again, as we've seen a lot of it already

If Echoes of Wisdom does take place in the Downfall Timeline i believe that's reason enough to deduce we will see the Triforce appear in some capacity within the story given its predominance within this particular timeline by constantly appearing in A Link to the Past, the Oracle duology, A Link between Worlds and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

I don't think we will be finding tri-force pieces like in past games. It seems like the tri-force is more internal now. I think Nintendo is moving farther away from the original formula and, along with linear play, it's getting left behind. Great video. I'm glad the algorithm God led me to you.

The Tri-force piece don't belong to anyone, Link, Zelda and Ganondorf may have them in some games but that doesn't mean that they belong to them. Zelda using the Tri-force of wisdom to send Link back isn't confirmed anywhere.

There's a general consensus these characters have certain pieces of the triforce. It would be weird if ganon had the triforce of wisdom

Not gonna lie but I think Nintendo and the Zelda team are nearing creative bankruptcy and no amount of gimmicky crafting-your-way through the adventure can’t hide that for long. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, Nintendo.
