The question is who are all these houses for? The native population is in decline...

I think if I was you I’d go for a 3cx pro if you do upgrade rather than a 4cx, I don’t see that the extra expense would give you that much of an advantage for your type of work. I know you were thinking about the tilt rotator but judging from your go on that one at JCB it looks like it compromises the machine too much, you’d find it hard to manoeuvre in a tight space with how the arm folds. Then there’s justifying that extra cost also. The thing with a 3cx is they’re fast and got good breakout power and for the size of the machine it can actually get into some tight spaces and now with the dual drive it makes a versatile machine even better.

Hi Ollie, good to hear things are picking up for you again, 2024 has been another difficult year which is hard to define what the reason is for it, with regards to the government targets the construction industry haven't got a hope in hell of achieving these figures, the labour force is already bad and its set to decline as the average age of those left in groundworks is now 44yrs old!! The other factor which is killing the ability to make money is the obvious climate change, basically we are getting much wetter winters and for longer which destroys any profit or timeline on a job, something developers are not willing to allow for and will happily send you under if your not careful with their programme penalties. If im honest unless conditions and rates improve in the next 2 years, which i cant see they will if we get an influx of cheap labour then we will gladly pack up because we can sit at home and earn nothing without the risk!!

The fact that the guvment are going don't see there killing rural businesses and they don't realise how much farmers actually do for the invirament. let's face it most of the small market towns i live just outside of Yeovil in the last 20 or so years since the cattle market closed about 45/58% the town centre shop's have eather gone out of business and the building changed purpose or stayed empty one in particular is being demolished due to unsafe floors and another because of severe fires damage.

Building boom? Not sure where you get your info, but pretty much the exact opposite of a building boom is unfolding now and is only going to get worse. Much worse.
