Is true my brother I am a qualified south african tourist guide and all of us we've been pushed away for cheap labour in this country most of this companies prefer to hire illegal foreigners instead of south africans and no one is willing to advocate for this south african tourist guide who spend their money and energy in doing g this tour and more importantly the truth is to be a qualified tourist guide in this country for south african you need to go to school for a very difficult classes a d believe me is not easy ask those who were there and most of us we sat down watching foreigners doing our jobs and our government allowed that. My brother I hate ANC

What I dislike is there is also so many Foreign tour guides in SA.. They don't really know the true and personal experienced history of this country to take someone on tours. I have a friend who's a tour guide from South Africa. He takes people to sites and gives them valuable information that i didn't even know especially when it comes to Apartheid here in the WC because he lived and seen these things.. I use to work at a place with my mom that had a lot of tourists. My mom used to eaves drop to what these Foreign guides used to tell their clients and she used to say what nonsense are they talking to these people.. The jobs are there but it gets taken by the wrong people
@dudumatlala6227Ай бұрын
This is absolutely wrong, infact, it's an insult to SAns, how can they make foreigners to be a tour guide in a country they know nothing about?. What do they know about our culture, values and history?. The culprits here are Zimbabweans because they claim to know SA more than we do.
@ashlouw5350Ай бұрын
@@dudumatlala6227It is.. Tour guides are also our ambassadors because whatever impression they make on their clients by word of mouth their clients is going to spread to their friends. That makes them want to come back and bring more people. Atleast if these Foreign to guides really researched and made the afford to mix with the people they want to talk about , study us then I'll give them a benefit of a doubt but most of the time even for me I can hear they don't really know what they are talking about. They know little crumb bits of info and not the meat and potatoes. My mom used to get so angry that she would interject in the talk because they would talk about places she as a child used to play at and she would tell me in Afrikaans watter k*k praat die mense

Really really sad. My Best Friend has a Diploma in Tourism and yet she cannot find a job . Its sad that an illegal immigrant can work as a tour guide with no necessary qualifications yet he will educate tourists about South Africa's history etc when they are not even natives.

Honestly guys we need to act otherwise this government will never put SAns first. In my neighbourhood foreigners are buying properties left right and centre. I don’t know when was the last time I saw a South African move in / buy property. Which means black SAns can only afford houses in Soweto n cosmo city instead of a suburb with a pool and huge yards??? ANC has sold us out on so many levels. 2029 is really too far.

You r right and have heard from a South African that used to work in Jam Alley Spelling might be wrong) in Joburg, the staff there is undocumented Zimbabweans. The Zimbabwean manager ensures South Africans there that the work environment is unbearable then leads to them to resign. Apart from the tuckshop selling expired food, the problem is the content of the foods as they have factories that r not compliant with SABS or consumption by a human being. With what you r saying it is evident that our country is in this mess not because of foreigners whether documented (legal or with fake documents) or not, and some South Africans r included in this🙄😡.

My friend ,this is exactly why there are squatter camps in CT...it's because business owners are paying below the lawful wage and these workers have got no choice but to take the jobs...it is not the workers ,it is the business owners. If these workers were documented , the problem of squatter camp would greatly be reduced, because they would know their rights.

After reading an article where DOHA approved visas for 5000 critical skills mean they all the same. Those 5000 jobs are going to foreigners. Ask yourself when and where can South Africans get the list of critical skills that's they have to go get/give those 5000 jobs away. We are being played here, and all of them are the same. 1800 of those jobs went to Zimbabweans, and India is second on that list. It is/was/ will be given to 20 countries

55% of the foreign nationals given jobs that are considered critical skills in SA come from India and Zimbabwe. These jobs included jobs like Trainee auditors, followed by integrated development, software developers, nursing, and ICT systems analysts. Home Affairs has introduced a Remote working visa which will allow even more foreign nationals to work remotely in SA. Home Affairs has also issued a statement that they tried by all means to find SAn with these skills but could not find any amongst the 62 million South Africans and 33% unemployed South Africans. Just for info sake: the green white and green people only made up roughly 300 of these critical skills visas granted. So what are the hundreds of thousands of them doing in SA?
