I never liked Rohit Sharma as captain. We lost 2023 world cup final because of him & we almost lost last t20 world cup final because of him. His decision making is so bad. In 2023 world cup final, first he threw away his wicket after getting good start and getting sufficient run in that over & then he gave ball to spinners instead of Siraj when Aussies lost early wickets & when they were under pressure. That gave aussies a chance to get back in the game. Same in last t20 World cup where he didn't let Pandya complete his 4 overs even when spinners were getting destroyed. We Almost lost that match because of him. But it's because of Bumrah, Pandya and Arshdeep's unbelievable performance, we won the final. Also, his fitness is shameful. How can BCCI even select such player for important test series who throws away his wickets and can't even run 3 runs in these big Australian grounds. I don't doubt his batting skill. But he's definitely not giving his best. He's taking these matches for granted. India would be better team with pujara in the team instead of Rohit Sharma.

Cry babies, don't expect the team to win forever. Indian batting has not been consistent in the last two years. Australia have never been an easy opponent and India doesn't have much experience in Pink ball tests anywhere. Usually pink ball tests are usually low scoring matches. Besides everyone in this team is aging. We are not like the 70s and 80s Windies team which had two back to back best teams in bowling and batting.

In test cricket, he is pretty pathetic. In ODIs, he is average. Captaincy has a shelf life, he is not in his prime as a player so captaincy naturally becomes difficult. If he loses Gabba, I think BCCI needs to drop him from captaincy.

@@Raghuram_2894 Even before Newzealand and Australian series, we were not winning because of his captaincy. We were winning because of individual performances. He got the best cricket players when he became captain & he benefitted from that just like his Ipl team mumbai indians.

I found it so dumb of Rohit that he is not enough aggressive and proactive at the ground . I would definitely ask Rohit to take that from Ben stokes. The only time you can get any inform batsman out is when he is new at crease and you take it more seriously when it’s someone like travis head who can change the game in session.
