Such things can have detrimental repercussions: an std that could harm one's reproductive organs and even put a baby at risk if the wife is pregnant (herpes can blind the baby or even kill it if there is an outbreak during delivery), an std that could be life threatening, an illegitimate child that could cause problems with the inheritance, psychological problems, even thoughts of suicide for some people. @@silverstar71000I think the ratio is about even but for different reasons. Men are more likely to have casual affairs where they aren’t as emotionally invested and women are more likely to have emotional affairs and get more attached to the AP. Either way it’s a horrible betrayal.

@tracysnipes2144 there is no 80% 20% or nonsense like that... there are duties u have to your family... neglecting a single one puts strain on the marriage and it will eventually break. imagine a husband paid the bills for 10 years but the night a burglar broke in he didn't even try to protect his wife and she got hurt... can he say oh well u know I paid the bills for 10 years? no of course not. he failed his basic duty as a husband and that woman will forever look at him different and likely consider the relationship. taking care of YOUR kids (that's right their the mums kids as well) is not a duty to the husband it's a duty to your children and yourself his mother sold the marriage down the river when she failed her duties as a wife and failed to make an effort even when broached up on time and again.

I cheated (just once, no sex) and while he will probably already be over me (he is very very proud) and I can assure you not every cheating is the same, not every cheater is the same, and I wanna add (don’t throw tomatoes at me) cheaters sometimes suffers a lot, sometimes there is nothing wrong in you but just in them. I was and I am a miserable amount of mental issue, immaturity and sh*t. And I swear to gos I’d do the impossible to erase this from my history and from his mind. I don’t know how he’s feeling but I’ve been spending the last 4 days drinking and crying. I know nobody deserves this, sometimes is not about others. The worst part of this is that I probably caused a trauma to the person I love the most. And yes, it’s possible to love and cheat…sorry.
