Will this 1978 Ford van make the Route 66 trip?

We are in the process of getting the 1978 Hotrod/Pimp van ready for a trip on Route 66. If you can help with suggestions for what to do and see on the trip please leave a comment. We would really appreciate non-tourist trap places to see. Happy New Year!!
