The entire album is a diss to their haters. They´ve received an enormous amount of hate due to their exploding popularity and the last song sums up what they have been feeling, especially the lyrics "You never know unless you walk in my shoes" and "It´s easier to judge me than to believe". "You never know" made A LOT of fans cry because they witnessed all the hate that BP received through out the years.

Love to Hate Me is a great song. Regarding the possible message: Not definitive, but Blackpink and specifically Jennie has gotten a lot of hate for her earlier "sassy attitude" and pretty much every other little thing. Jisoo's smaller overall role in the group has gotten her haters about her "lack of skill". Rose's been relatively drama free, but some do talk trash about her unique singing voice. Lisa has gotten hate from racists and more recently due to her exploding popularity, fans of other girls are acting up. Recently, there's been a bit of a problem with certain "fans" who only like a single member and would actually attack the other members for perceived slights to their favorite member, it's caused a lot of toxicity and drama within the fandom the last comeback, and with how kpop idols actual interaction with their fanbase on social media and streaming platforms, the girls are very obviously aware and you can bet how they feel about these "fans" slinging poison at who is effectively, an extended sister of theirs.

Please don’t take it as a criticism, I have been a fan since the very beginning, it’s more of a concern than anything else. I think you could look forward to solos coming up - I agree the album is too short - but I'm happy that Lovesick Girls introduced us to something new by BlackPink - that showcased these girls are versatile and Jisoo and Jennie were involved in the writing & composition of the song. I prefer that BlackPink not collaborate with other artists. It seems they don't want to go all out as not to show up the other artists. They're too respectful. There really isn't enough material in a collaboration for the girls to share among themselves, giving some members the perception of being unfairly not utilized enough.
