Much as it's great to get the benefit of your presence here, missing you hugely on Eurosport's Tour coverage Dan. Politics I'll bet, yes I know there's no direct link now that GCN+ is no more, but they could've hired you as a pundit. Their loss, and obviously our loss. Back to Pog's bike, tip of the saddle 9cm behind the BB with it slammed forward on a seat post with no layback? That does surprise me.🤔
@Adonis-qj1nq4 ай бұрын
It’s my understanding Dan left to focus on moving GCN forward with all the recent changes. But yes it is a major loss to the racing coverage, Dan was my favorite by far. Also for the saddleback position, it makes sense. I have mine slammed foreward all the way on my Tarmac SL7 but it is still 19cm behind the BB. Might be due to my size 58. I wish I could get it even more forward but specialized doesn’t sell the special seat post Remco uses.

@alessiozanon21796 күн бұрын
Surfing the web but every video you get different measurements. If you assume that the saddle has a 50 mm back respect to the vertical of the BB (limit uci) with 130mm should be at least 575mm from tip to center. Measured on a V3 Colnago that in size 51s has more or less the same measurement. Even considering the 2 mm difference in top tube we are far from the 535 mm. 🤷

crazy how cycling trends change over the years. 165 cranks are wildly short for a rider that height in the real world, but best believe there will be people copying that.
@einundsiebenziger54884 ай бұрын
I doubt that shortening the cranks (less leverage) combined with larger chainrings (55/40 instead of 53/39 or 50/34, hence bigger diameter, hence requiring more leverage) will make anything more efficient.

@derfx894 ай бұрын
It's fascinating that it's neither particularly aero (10-20W at 45km/h according to Tour testing) nor light (about 200-400 g) relative to all its direct competitors. Still it's selling like hotcakes, even though Pogacar is winning DESPITE the Colnago, not because of it. The easiest explanation is that in actual race settings, the riders skill and power trump any differences between top-level bikes.
