One of the worst-kept coaster secrets in recent memory has finally been revealed by Cedar Point: Top Thrill Dragster, which has been standing but not operating for two seasons now, is being renovated into a new triple-launching LSM machine... and it's by Zamperla?! There's a lot to unpack here, and many enthusiasts are already writing off Top Thrill 2 as inferior to the original, but there may be more riding on this project than just Dragster's legacy. I mean, i'm afraid of heights on coasters so I probably won't ride to this but i think it will be a good ride that will add a nice new bit of flair to the park

I found your channel bcuz of your retro game videos and didn't know this channel is dedicated to theme park ride reviews Honestly i was expecting you have a video of the incredicoaster from Disneyland California adventure or Guardians mission Breakout cuz these are over the top rides of the park I know this comment has nothing to do with this video but i just wanted to tell you this and if you want to your opinion

"Has enthusiasts split right down the middle".... Hell, It's got ME PERSONALLY split right down the middle lol. On one hand, It looks like a cool idea. The trains look really comfortable, and honestly that backwards climb up the spike at 101mph, and the weightlessness you're going to get between that backwards climb and dropping back down the spike is SUPER intriguing and will probably be the highlight of the ride. Now, On the OTHER hand... I'm really concerned about the future of this ride. Let's face it... Zamperla may have been around for ages, but still, that being what it is they are NOT in any way, shape, or form a "safe bet" when it comes to something this big, fast, and complicated. Hell, while nobody seems to want to talk about it, even a lot of their flat rides are hit or miss when it comes to their reliability. Just look at the trouble they had with their rides in Aeronautica Landing in the beginning. If that's not enough... Look at the trouble the wild mouse at Cedar point had when they first opened it, I hear it's a little more reliable now, but still having some issues. If their flat rides and family coasters are not all that reliable, how are we supposed to believe something of this caliber is going to be? Beyond the fact that I'm still worried they might end up with a 420 ft piece of Zamperla yard art, I'm a little let down by the whole "roll back" thing... They kinda went out of their way to make a big deal out of everybody getting a roll back, but if the animation is any indication... we might get a third of a roll back, it doesn't even look like the train makes it all the way vertical before it falls back. On top of all that, this ride already had a capacity problem... Now they're making the ride experience more than a minute and a half longer, and only running three trains. If I were guessing, cue times are going to be INSANELY high. But, I digress... Aint gonna lie about it... I'm gonna be there as quickly as I can after it opens to ride it lol.

The "Centurion" trademark Cedar Fair has yet to really utilize would've been *perfect* for a coaster of this scale. Top Thrill 2 is such a cheesy, lazy name, but I can understand how they wanted to pay homage to the original ride and theme considering that's what everyone remembers it as.

With my fear of heights, I would've tried TTD but not TT2 with the spike.

I’m just happy they didn’t go with “Polaris”, I don’t understand the obsession the CF fanboys have with that name but I just simply don’t like it 😂

As a CP fanboy, I found this to be annoying too. Polaris is the name of United Airline's international business class, and as a very frequent United passenger, the name on a roller coaster is weird af.

The 3 launches are more of a gimmick now. Many other rides do that and I don't find it exciting when the ride had a much more incredible launch before.
