I agree. Because in the end when ppl believe it's "getting better" everybody will jump in or back in. If it's good it'll only be that way for a few months followed by a year or 2 of turmoil because there are too many trucks on the road. The only way the industry will even get somewhat better is if they get these crook ssa brokers under control.

@@XTXUSA If the Brokers were gone, then let's say a online platform was to have a way that Shippers and Carriers can review loads without them. Just me talking out loud.
@XTXUSA5 күн бұрын
@@galactictruckingsolutions3666 I get that but the fraud is insane and unqualified dangerous drivers would not be regulated. I'm for deregulation in many respects, however not that part. So the shippers don't want to broker their own needs, so they farm it out. if they went direct to carriers then you will create a closed market b/c they will only use large carriers. IDK what the answer is but the broker has zero liability and takes a vast majority of the money sitting behind a desk while the carrier assumes all the risk and make .30c per mile and have all the compliance expenses. Its a VERY broken system which illegal drivers, carriers and fraud have ruined American trucking. I know how it happened but I'll keep it off this forum.

Contract rates declining is NOT a good sign. When they get good rates and rejections decrease because their rates are good it means the economy is improving and then good rates will also hit the spot market. Having said that,what transparency can we expect from the brokers if we don’t have it under our own roof?

Dear Miranda, I love your reports, but there is one thing which bothers me a lot. Rate per mile: we are burning the fuel per mile and maintenance cost us per mile....I've been around in the times when load per mile was the same no matter where you go, from Florida or to Florida, from E to W or N to S or other way around. My point is "market price " is made by brokers and I still see that brokers take 60% or more of the load price. Personally confirmed , maybe not all of them but majority. Load gets who is faster on the phone or on email not who pays less. Along with other problems that, I would say is number one.

I just do not see rates getting any better for the Single truck Owner Operators. In the game we are the only ones subjected to being outbid by Mega Carriers with Endless Credit like our government with no concern of paying it back. Another factor is they are self insured so they are not paying the 2k a month insurance premiums. I do hope that this new administration brings in better regulations like getting rid of the stupid 70 hours over 8 days and the mandatory 34 hour reset.

As someone with millions of cdl road miles who has been in trucking since 2021 as driver,manager,dispatch,company owner i can say Miranda you are smarter then 80% of this freight experts that are being paid millions for this reports but have no clue what they are talking about. I will correct you if diesel drops down to $1 drivers will not make much more because brokers and shippers will drop their rates imediatelly telling you fuel prices have come down its just common sense in trucking industry problem is when fuel goes up brokers and shippers are not adopting imediatelly then it takes long time for them to addopt when they have to pay more. Also if this winter we got a lot of snow i will not predict i guarantee good paying loads will be in upper midwest where there will be lot's of snow,ice,road closures etc it's allways like that more risk more proffit, many drivers will stay down south where is nice to drive so freight prices will drop on south because of so much trucks and not enough freight it's common sense. I think we are entering recession and only way we can avoid it if next administration can achieve what they promised so we can Kick the Can down the road a bit more before recession. Thank you again for video and everyone be safe out there.

It’s pretty obvious if you can’t understand that if you tariff imported goods, which is pretty much everything you buy in Walmart, target Lowe’s, Home Depot, and every other major supplier that you predominantly haul freight for plus manufacturing you’re not gonna have freight to haul less will be coming in Walmart is down 600 tons of product for the end of this year compared to last year. They were at 930 some million tons this year they’re at 340,000,000 tons, that’s a lot less freight to haul. That’s just one example and the tariffs aren’t even here yet.
