It is not "Tramp's presidency" honey. Kamala lost. Donald TRUMP won. Do Australians not have access to stocks like Tsla, nvda and appl? Anyone relying on a government to secure your retirement is foolish..You need to control your own retirement and educate yourself. No one has your best intetests at heart more than you.

The way things are atm or look to be heading I think that throwing a coin in the air and picking heads/tails is about as good a prediction as we can make atm imo.

Hi Katherine, The Ukraine and Hamas/Israel wars need to stop so the world can concentrate on the economy. Trumps stated he can end the wars, if he does this, he will be a hero. Time will tell.

What is the problem? Australia has it's huge public sector to fall back on! We can use the massive profits this sector generates, each and every year, to support the rest of the economy! The public sector has been parasitic on the rest of the economy for ever - time to pay some of that money back!

The Australian dollar is going to loose significant ground against the US dollar and inflation will continue to destroy wealth for savers and fixed income households. America first means exactly that.

The US national debt and deficits will have a bigger impact. They can't keep piling it on for very much longer. Once interest on the debt becomes the biggest expense (not to mention unfunded liabilities) all sorts of unpleasant things begin to happen. THe French revolution was triggered by excess government debt.

Interestingly , one of the polls showed 29 % Australians would vote for Trump and 37% for Harris. Other people would not vote at all or would vote for different candidate. The poll was conducted by Guardian Essential ( heavy left wing )
