Correct. UPI and RuPay address settlement from bank account, from credit card with least overhead for Indians traveling abroad. UPI when its integrated with the foreign banking and payment systems, will promote ease of buying goods in the foreign land without having to carry an arbitrary prepaid currency card or currency. Similarly its cross border, when that foreign national comes to India and buys goods and services UPI will be able to settle the payment with their foreign bank. UPI payment is a replacement for SWIFT is correct.

Cheema Sb, India has CSA(Currency Swap Agreement) with 23 countries where trade is settled in local currencies at predetermined rates. India doesn't need BRICS to promote non-dollar payment & settlement of trade. Similarly Indian UPI's expansion & integration with payment gateway of foreign countries is something that Indian govt does on bilateral basis(8-10 countries have adopted UPI) & another 10-12 countries have signed MoU with the govt of India & RBI to adopt UPI.

If any hope for a one on one someday or maybe more on a regular basis too, i would welcome it. UPI is not de - Dollarization indeed but it definitely speeds up the whole process 😂😂. Now when sanctions were put on Russia, trade between Russia and India was becoming a hurdel as dollar payments were not possible. Russia wanted to make payments to India in the Chinese currency, which we didnt agree too for obvious reasons. Now when the local currencies of both nation started being used, it was seen that huge amounts were being accumalted in Russian banks as there as a dire need to have a break even point of what to do with the excess cash , so uska bhi tod nikal liya Bharat ney, they told the russians do one thing we will open up our markets for you and you reinvest it in India itself be it in stocks or otherwise. It was a boost for the Indian economy as the more trade we did the more investment came into our nation. But now the issue arises is we had accumulated Russian currency too, and now we have asked access to their markets. Now when sanctions were put on Russia there were alot of industries that were hit be it car manufacturers, even the liquor industry was hit. Now as close Russia is to China too, Russia has not opened its market to China completely, that place Russia has given India. The void created by the leaving of western partners in Russia is being filled by Indian brands and all brands like Tata, Mahindra etc all are taking the opportunity of diging in their heels in Russia. Now yeah the SWIFT is being replaced by the UPI and if UPI is used there would not necessarily be the need of getting a new currency as all payments can be made in local currencies between BRICS nations but yeah if a new currecy is adopted it would be of added benifits for all BRICS nations as there would be one common curency that we can trade in. So yes if a new curency is launched which is happening come what may at that time too UPI can be used for all transactions so it would serve as an alternative to the dollar in all spheres of trade. The day it happens that would be the final nail on the coffin for the US dollar. The Americans no matter who comes to power after their elections might try to delay the process but they cant stop it. The more they try to tighten the screws of the nations trying to make a shift in trade currencies the faster things will work against them. So this whole De Dollarization is not just a hype it is indeed happening in real time. The faster it happens the better for India. America would need India all the more to counter the chinese in trade. So going forward there could be ups and downs in america and Indian relations, but India will be the driving force for the american economy if fhey want to survive this tough competition that is headed their way. So on the brighter side in accordance to me de dollarization or not things look very favorable for India going forward which ever way we go be it with the dollar or against in ways which might mean against it, still too things would be in our favour. Now coming to Pakistan things dont look bright at all, at least from my analysis, yours might differ. The amount youll have to pay in 2025 will break the backs of your economy, reason being you people are living in the present without a vision of the future. Youll are stuck in a quick sand of debts the more you try to get out of it the deeper the nation is going into debts. Your current situation is such your economy is not sustainable again not my words but this is coming from the IMF and the irony is i see many channels that cry about the plight you people are in and even make comparisons of India jab ki koi comparisons banta hi nahi. But there is not one channel, nor one politician of Pakistan that ever speaks of remedies that could be used to get Pakistan out of this debt trap, ek bhi nahi, including you. Aisa ek bandha dikha do jisney ek plan banaya ho ki agar hum yeah yeah karey tho "x " number of years mein hum is dal dal sey bahar hongey, aisa koi hai tho mere knowledge mein zaroor dalna i would love to follow them on what they have to say. But where my assessment goes you bring all the experts together and use their expertise with the most stringent measures to counter the financial strain you are in, it will still take you atleast 30 years for your economy to be stable, i am not talking about performing with flying colours, but just for your economy to be stable, with the most stringent measures. I am not talking about measures asked by IMF agey aur bohut screws tight hongey, IMF ke measaures ko follow kar ke aap logo ko atleast 100 years lagega with the curent amount of mounting debts that are rising. I am talking about in best case scenario even if you use the most stringent measures it will take you 30 Years to be stable. That is the kind of plight Pakistan is in. So when your economy is in such taters do you think its wise wise to make comparisons with India only a fool would do so. In curent day scenario countries like Uganda is doing better than Pakistan's economy. So the take from this is to concentrate on your economy on making it stable. You people are in a very shaky postion and are in no postion to dictate terms to the world, India is and it is through hardwork, there are no shortcuts.Pakistan needs a systematic make over on all spheres step by step which is very difficult with the kind of ruling elites in Pakistan even be it the military establishment.😊
