@EastCoastBlueJays mets fan here. But as a baseball fan I'd love for there to still be a competitive balance. I don't fully know the whole tax situation in Canada but it's a shame that it's preventing players from Signing there. What's even crazier is that you have a guy whose willing to sign the extension but your front office is dragging their feet on . No clue on what their angle is but it's leaving alot if people left scratching their head lol

@ I’ve been scratching my head since Ross Atkins and Mark Shapiro got hired 10 years ago. Yes they build an amazing renovated ball park. But all they want is defensive side of the game. We can’t win 0-0. As far as being competitive and balance among others team. The Dodgers are ruining the game by deferring there money. We need a cap like there is in hockey. @EastCoastBlueJays lol well mets fans def don't want a salary cap after what we went through with the wilpons lol. Finally get Cohen just to be told we have a limit on our spending lol. There's def going to be a work stoppage after the 2026 season. Two major causes for concern is deferred contracts and cheap owners not spending. I feel like there needs to be more of a salary floor than a cap. Or at least an agreement that the teams that make money off these teams that go over the threshold have to put that money towards players the following off-season instead of in their pockets. For instance, what the mariners owner is doing rn is a damn shame. They are a few hitters away for being a legit contender.

I'm a lifetime Mets fan and I don't see a trade for Vlad Jr anytime soon, if ever. I'd be happy to have him but Toronto would want a massive haul from the Mets for him, for good reason.

@@stanfromwestport2024 I hate the thought of not having Vladdy in the Blue Jays lineup. But, if we don’t trade Vladdy now and wait for the next offseason. We will probably lose him and have nothing to show for. Unless FO can sign Vladdy now for the long term. I can’t see it though.
