Sara, an IT professional & Stephen a graphic designer and artist are world-traveling Canadians who dreamt of moving to Europe, and France in particular. In 2020 they were working from home when Stephen turned to Sara and popped the question she was longing to hear, “What would have to be true for us to buy a chateau in France?” They searched online for months viewing hundreds of properties. They narrowed their search and toured some properties when they happened upon the one that captured our hearts, Château de Saint-Germain-des-Prés. A year later they made the move to France to start their new adventure in our beautiful Château. They created “Manor and Maker” to reflect the two sides of their adventure. One, to live as chateau owners with all the ups and downs and two, to pursue their passions as makers, creating art in all its forms. They will invite others to come together, united by their passions, to share in this adventure. We invite you to join us too, as we bring our dreams to life. Welcome to Manor & Maker.

Hats off to the chefs! The food looked great and I appreciate the chef's focusing on quality and substance before presentation. Nothing worse than a pretentious meal meagerly portioned consisting mainly of air!

Love it all. The yellow bedroom really surprised me with how much I like it. A small note, reject as required, I find the titles quite difficult to read when they’re shown on an angle. I love all the work time lapses. Sarah, your knees must have ached after doing the floor!

"Be a dear" -- OK!!! This was so beautiful. I want to make an appetizer with beets and cream cheese (?) as I saw there at the end -- and love the sugar pattern on the French toast -- was that French Toast? Altogether beautiful and you moved the table back into the dining room. The paintings were all tops -- yes, I'm sure those attending are seasoned artists getting a kick from the challenge Jacintha gave them. Congratulations all.

There is something charming about the kitchen. The yellow is a bit intense for myself, but it seems perfect. It has an early 1900 vibe Ikea must have been inspired by your kitchen:) someone swedish must have lived there at some point

The food here looks infinitely better than that served to B and B guests at another chateau known to you. Your kitchen, despite the rather too vibrant colour, (I know that's a personal opinion!), also looks hygienic in comparison with that at the other chateau! Well done!
