I have a theory to run by you as to what the mysterious signal was that gaia received that kinda ruined everything. I believe that it was another A.I. that was made to be a copy of faro. after he killed the board and destroyed apollo, he decided to save himself. as indicated by his own personal bunker, he learned how to make an A.I. copy of himself. Unfortunately, he was mentally deranged at this time so that's the copy we got stuck with. No doubt he owned a satellite at some point. I think faro uploaded his consciousness to it to kinda preserve himself safely, just in case. while that A.I. was all alone in space seeing things happen on the surface. well overtime it became more crazy and demented and longed for..."others" that's why when it attacked gaia, the other A.I.s were made to give it friends if you will. that way it wouldn't be alone. all of this comes from the simple fact, he missed elizabeth.

Sylens is, I think, just slightly more dangerous than Ted Faro. A person who is interested only in their image is terrifying, but one who only prizes knowledge, above others, above the world, above safety? That is a threat high enough for this new world to fear. Still, Ted Faro was a monster.
@bthsr71133 жыл бұрын
Knowledge can be good or bad, but ignorance and ego are pretty much condemned to always be harmful. With Sylens, my response is, "I understand, I do not agree." With Faro, it's more like, "I would put you in the ground with a smile if you weren't already dead."
@Kalnaur3 жыл бұрын
@@bthsr7113 Knowledge is totally good or bad, but how we pursue knowledge? Well, we can do it carefully, recklessly, kindly, cruelly, thoughtfully, heedlessly. Ted Faro should be in the ground a million times over, and HADES should not be allowed to roam free, but once again slotting it into a Horus? Sylens is being reckless and heedless in his search for knowledge, while still being very very smart. That combination, just like Faro's original path, are fraught with bad outcomes but the problem is, Sylens more or less knows what he's doing. Ted . . . first he just wanted the best payday, to be unbeatable. Then he wanted us to forget him if he couldn't be the hero. A person who knows what they're doing and still persists is, in my opinion, more dangerous than a person who didn't know what they were doing in the first place, because if they want they can do more direct damage, instead of just potential, random chaos.

What if Sylens is the clone of Faro? To me it would make sense to me because it seems that the story of HZD has a theme of duality, destruction and creation following each other. Sylens is the opposite side of the coin of Alloy. Although, Sylens might be less than of a genetic match to Faro in comparison to Alloy and Elizabeth.

I found the game to be a little difficult. I don't mind the challenge but to play the game on normal would require a shit ton of time hunting and gathering parts which I felt slowed the pacing of the story of the game. I dont mind the game play but I hope they find better ways to find parts for traps etc cause I did not like grinding for parts and food. Other then that the story was good.

@@anthonygordon9483 I played on the hardest difficulty and I suck at gaming. This genuinely isn't a flex, I'm just pointing out that it's actually a relatively easy game if you play it right
@anthonygordon94833 жыл бұрын
@@FuckFascistKZbin I believe you but playing it right consumes a lot of time in hunting and gathering. closer I got to the end the more I had to grind to craft things to prepare for the fight. Even when you do all the side quest you sometimes end up losing more then what you had and have to grind again to prepare for the next. It wasn't fun for me. It was only difficult cause I tried going through the game without doing all that even when I did the side quest. The game works great when you have the leisure time to play it correctly. But I found the gameplay to not work for people who are casual gamers besides playing the game in casual mode. In short I feel the side quest need to reward more so you don't feel like you lose more then what you put in. This slowed the pacing of the game down tremdously cause you always had to hunt and gather to prepare for the next. Any other RPG game you benefit with pay and not all side quest paid or even paid that much .

You know, I've played the game several times and k love it. But watching this video is the first time has occurred to me that a focus recognises people genetically. Obviously the facilities would have recognised her, but it explains why Aloy can use her focus in a much more sophisticated way.

Teresa was one of the MVP of the game (so underrated), and by far the smartest person among all the NPCs, even Sylas or Aloy. She is old, traditions bind her, can't operate machinery, and yet she is the one knowing what to do. That's incredibly impressive.

So glad to see someone digging deep into this game's story! I like the world building more than the characters, though I do really like Aloy and Sylens. I feel like the sequel may throw in some curve balls about the "ancients" - maybe Dr. Sobeck wasn't so perfect, and maybe Ted wasn't JUST the worst human ever. I'm personally really hyped for Forbidden West, even if the lead writer has moved on to a new company. Fun trivia: John Gonzalez, writer for HZD, had also written for Fallout: New Vegas, particularly the DLC centered around tribes. One thing I find fascinating is that some ideas from the cancelled Fallout 3 (codenamed 'Van Buren') ended up recycled for New Vegas...but I believe this ALSO applies to HZD since Gonzalez worked on both projects. In particular, the 'Twin Mothers' from this cancelled Fallout game strongly resemble the Nora of HZD.

@ericalbers48673 жыл бұрын
That would be impossible. They didn't have access to Eleuthia-9, it was completely sealed shut. Well, except for the brief moment a caretaker robot brought Aloy out and sat her on the ground to be discovered. Then it permanently resealed until she grew up and eventually restored the alpha registry. On top of that the Nora were forbid from entering anyway. As to why she's 99.47% instead of a higher percentage, it's always been an interesting question among people that know the lore of the game (as well as what exactly caused the "glitch" and sissy the random signal that GAIA received). While they were forbid from genetic engineering before the FARO plague and wanted normal humans to repopulate the Earth - GAIA could've decided to do it anyway. Making her physically enhanced to ensure she survived to end Hades.
@DK-Design3 жыл бұрын
@@ericalbers4867 I agree GAIA probably did some tweaking based on feats only she had in-game. Based on the security protocols in place GAIA understood they had some leeway with how much of the genetic code could be adjusted for their plan to work. But there is the logical possibility that it was garbage DNA from the embryonic cloning process. GAIA had the sequence in memory but the building blocks would have to come from somewhere else, like cryogenically frozen egg blanks.

I listened to part one 3 times before I discovered part 2. I am 13 seconds in and offer my like and comments to appease the algorithm gods.

I have enjoyed this series on Zero dawn so much that I am compelled to write a comment. Thank you all for such an informative and entertaining experience. As good as if not better than an audiobook version! Cheers!!
