I grew up in Melbourne and have been on Station Pier several times, once to see the QE2. I never knew it was that old, nor have i ever heard of this ship and its sinking!

Vince indeed the sort of treasure you've brought to people, ordinary people, is simply priceless, you couldn't put a price on it. Thanks.

As a 32 year old woman whom weighs 170 lbs, I am not slender, but my wedding ring is only a size 3.5 (G 1/2). I've only been able to find children that can wear my ring. When comparing my hands to a hand impression of a seven year old, my hands fit perfectly except my fingers were a bit longer. I'm not skinny but I have small hands with thin fingers, seeing that ring immediately reminded me of my own, so small no man can even put it on their pinky.

I also wear 3.5 rings, and can’t never find one that fits! All have to be sized down!

Vince is a nice gentle prospector. Unlike many others. This is watchable :)

it was not the miners who got rich, but the innkeepers and when they sold the equipment for the mines

That assumption this ring would belong to that one girl was a bit of a stretch. It could have been any rich passenger bringing this as a gift for example. Not impossible, sure, but "very likely"? I don´t think so

With quartz embedded in that nugget, it can be traced to the exact mine or reef.

The ring? Of course not. It´s a massiv stretch to assume that ring belonged to that particular girl. There were too many people who could have brought the ring and not even worn it. He only guessed from that line in the newspaper that this girl wore rings, nothing else whatsoever

Too much interference from other objects. Instinct works best, as my grandfather (who prospected often) would say.
