That subject has a very real History and very real finds as they dug. There is or was a real object(s) to find. This story has as much evidence of being a prepared hoax as any evidence of treasure. I doubt there's more than a box with a note that indicates they cracked the code but there's no more than 1 gold nugget for the efforts. ... and maybe the purpose of the experience. It's interesting but has no real foundation of purpose.

My suspicion also is the vast majority of the treasure IS gone: however, I do believe the original depositers did not get it all. Hence, the water analysis showing higher levels of gold, from certain bore holes, in & around the money pit. I also am enjoying the Laginas discovering the historical narratives around the other areas, like the swamp, Nolan's cross & the Lot 5 digs.

Seen a few treasure hunting docs as of late, some guy got hit in the head and had a vision that sent him on a hunt, found... Nothing. Some other guy found a stone with strange marking... Found, another stone, then another. And now this... A code means there's a treasure and then they ask spirits! . Can't anyone just find a bloody map to follow, and then ACTUALY find the treasure! 😩

"Have seen" or "Saw", (my Mother was intense in our correct speaking of the English language), I in turn developed a habit of what many describe as "the Grammar Police". However, it actually helps one to remember the correct use of the verbs. I don't mind being judged, particularly if it is in the process of helping another level up in their grammar. The fact is, it can make the difference between an income of 30K and 90K per year, and keep others from misguided judging of one relative to the language skills. 🎓👮‍♀️ ... 😘

@@bethbartlett5692 Pedantic! I find that to be an interesting adjective. I believe the use of "some guy" in the structure of the sentence was incorrect also. I do believe as such, the structural format of the sentence was intended to be that of an informal nature. "They" do find treasures. The real ones are smart enough to not say a word and possibly melt it down and make fake gold nuggets by slowly pouring the molten gold or silver into water then putting those pieces in a rock tumbler to simulate natural water worn gold like from a steam or river, I'm pretty sure even the gold that's worn off the fake nuggets will be recovered by panning the slurry just like you'd do natural materials you gather from a river or steam...... seems logical

I'm in the UK, I gave a tramp £40.00 just before Christmas last year, I'd seen him before and I've given him money and food before, after I gave him the £40.00 which was 2x £20 notes, I only saw him one more time and never again, I always wondered what happened to that old man. We have a chain of Tesco shops here in the UK and after paying my grocery bill I noticed the familiar free books that you can have for free or you can give a donation, I picked up the first book I saw which was lying on the top of other books on a bookcase, inside was a £50.00 note. This was witnessed by my wife, and my wife was with me when I used to give the old man money and food as both of us used to and still do eat at a particular weatherspoon pub that does decent food and drink at reasonable prices. Call me silly, but I had a notion ages before that the old man had died. The £50 note inside the book was his way of giving back. It's a romantic notion, I know. Thought I'd share...😊

If this much treasure is buried by Bufords Tavern or anywhere in West Virginia or Virginia, it would have been discovered by accident a couple of hundred years ago, because of the entire area being passed through countless ownership. If there was a treasure, then it was found long ago by somebody like Rockefeller or another 18th or 19th century tycoon.

The Rockefeller’s don’t need treasure or actual gold. They helped setup and own part of the federal reserve. The federal reserve is privatelyowned paying a 6%dividend to shareholders. They literally create money out of thin air and taxes pays them back. It’s the biggest Ponzi scheme.

I live in Front Royal, a couple hours away from Lynchburg Virginia. A buddy of mine has a cousin who lives in Lynchburg. He told me that his cousin spent summers in the 1990s looking for the treasure. He actually has maps/paper that are slightly torn and supposedly it matches up some mountains that are connected to the story of the treasure. Well, as far as I know he's found nothing. I thought about going down there myself and doing a little searching. Lynchburg has a museum that has information about the treasure that you can get more information there and do some searching. But, I believe it is a hoax also. I would probably spend more time soaking in the environment of the trees and the forest instead of looking for treasure..lol

Some of you have mentioned Oak Island as having the same problem and this is true. The problem with these lost treasures is that no one can decipher them properly. When someone spends enough time with a cipher map, stone, or letter and cannot figure things out, having spent so much time using up all their resources to no avail. The owning party has no other option but to expose the map, stone or letters hoping to make money in some form like writing a book to recover some of the losses because in their mind they come to the realization that it is a made up story and if not at least they can make something since their giving away important information to someone that does know how to read the cipher. It is what most people will do when they get tired of holding on to something they just can’t figure out. It is true that the fiction book treasure island was created by the author based on his failure of not finding the island. He died very close to the island not knowing it whereabouts. Yes! People make books when they can’t get nowhere with a treasure story. The actual Templars map that leads you to the lost Dutchman’s goldmine is being used as a book cover for the lost Dutchman. Figure that out! So the problem is that they can’t read the cipher as in this story. I can assure you that the Thomas Beale story is ciphered and he left certain stones in Arizona to backup his life story that he found the Lost Dutchman’s goldmine for a specific reason. He describes that he took gold back to Virginia. He describes the three places in Virginia which most people do not understand because they don’t know how to read the cipher. I do and I can tell you that there is nothing under the money pit on Oak Island, but there is something there that they will not find again, they are not skilled in deciphering. Do not be surprised when the time comes that someone will eventually define all these treasure maps.

There wasn't one Thomas Beale running around 19'th century America, or even Virginia, there who knows how many everywhere, including using the name as an alias, most likely, like William Antrim later with Billy the Kid (he has like 10 cousins alone with variations of his name, adding to the eventual death controversy.) Beale cyphers are an existent thing in the code world, I can't remember if it predates this mystery or not, but the truth is it doesn't matter if the treasure was re or just a really clever marketing stunt, nobody "wasted" their lives searching if they had fun doing it.

There can't be that many document's, written in 1776, at the same time as The Declaration of Independence. What I did was try to compare the codes to other document's written at the time. I haven't found anything convincing yet, but this method of cryptography is one of the simplest. It's just a case of knowing which text was used as the Key. It would have been a text, obviously, that Beale was familiar with. If the first text was issued by the Government, isn't it likely that the other two text would also have been published by some form of Government? Just because we cannot crack the other two codes yet, it doesn't mean that it's a hoax. All it means, is that we haven't found the right key text yet. To crack it, we need to know what text's were available in Beale's time, back in 1819.

I’m pretty sure the first one I e locality is based off the Bible the first book of genesis and basically reads left to right and up an down and says the same thing over m over its in the water where the two rivers meet there’s actually three vaults one there one on the mountain and one inside something each one is marked with a symbol too. I think the one that’s been found in 2020 was just one of them. There’s a lot of words in the cipher that are the same like the word Sky and According and Vault and The and There but after a while I begin to see it’s the same thing and every other line is a sentence....don’t ask me how I figured that all out it just came to me....

How often do you see a square stone buried out in the middle of nowhere. They should have kept digging. The young boy saw and described the treasure and that`s a clue that he may not have been told. I think they had the right place, but possibly,,the whole treasure thing was a hoax.
