Well Emma Frost said ages ago > Emma stated that Jubilee had unlimited potential and was one of the most powerful mutants she had ever encountered, being able to detonate matter at a sub-atomic level. Also in the comics they recently stated she had enough explosive power to level cities. So technically she could be but I do not think she is there yet.

Omega are basically walking extinction level events or their powers are breaking pretty much all the laws of physics, Magneto, Storm, Iceman *can in the comics freeze all the world's oceans if he wanted to*, Xavier, etc... most reality warpers with a lasting effect or range beyond a few feet even qualify.

She deserves it. Everyone shits on Jubilee but I always liked her. I liked her style, and knew there was much more to her moveset than what we've seen. Hopefully when she realizes herself everyone will STFU about her only doing sparkles and having no impact. Crapping all over her is so tired at this point.

The comics stopped crapping on her decades ago. Jubilee has been giving people plasma burns and destroying cars a while now (with a brief pause to be depowered, become a vampire then get healed) and even blew up a whole giant space ship. Considering what it takes to be 'omega' that wouldn't qualify her, but she hasn't been a pushover for years!

@@bajansamurai I didnt say the comics were shitting on her, i said everyone was, like people....I guess I should have been more specific to say general audiences that know of jubilee. Hopefully that stuff start seeping more into the movies and shows more, Thankfully '97 has highlighted her in a recent episode.

Just added that to specify it's not really about her coming into her own there, but I can see how her being at a developing stage in the animation (and would be if brought to live action) that general audiences would see her as still the joke.

How? Omega level mutants are usually either immortal or world ending. How is Jubilee showing any signs of reaching anything close to that level?

I would think Morph might be in X-Men 97. He not only can change into other super powered beings but also has their powers.

yeah I feel they for the new show basically mixed him with the classic X-men character Mimic *only more borken*. Mimic had the power to have all the powers of all the mutants within several miles of himself. I would hope there is some limit to Morph like maybe like the Animorphs (book series about kids turning into animals) he would have to touch these people first or do some kind of scan power if they were close like Needless (Manga/Anime)

As a doctor of Math, the Omega level name has always annoyed me. Omega means the beginning of end, is the end of the beginning, which is the middle. Its the whOle between two megas.

So, aside from a baity title, let's dissect the question but first give a quick "No". Not that I dislike Jubilee or anything, but to keep this character actually interesting, Omega levels of power would be counterproductive. That's not to say she can't continue to get more powerful and get more control, but do we need her to have globe spanning levels of power to be effective? No. If they made her that powerful, then shortly after they'd probably have to sideline her (or reverse her gains just to have a credible threat again). Plus, Jubilee has been beyond "cute little light show" for a good while now, and is solidly in the alpha class of power output. She generated enough power to blow up the Collector's giant spaceship in the X-Terminators series (plus singed off every hair on her own body in the act) not too long ago, but more generally has been able to blow up bulky/sturdy objects (cars, walls, etc.) for a good while (outside of being depowered). General population just doesn't really know her outside of those introductory, low level animated beginings. Nor do I blame them for such, but one doesn't need to go from joke powers to omega just to be a serious combatant.

I get that you're trolling but out of the hundreds of Marvel Characters, there's only about 20ish give or take Confirmed Omega Level Mutants, dating 1963 to present time. This doesn't account for the Arakko Mutants from Other World (opposite of Krakoa). So there's not tat many Omega Level Mutants currently. And out the ones that are confirmed, many of them aren't even actively being used often enough like Exodus or Legion.

Jubilee has always had the capacity to be an omega level in the comics especially on e she left the X-Men and had her own team, and I have always thought she was something of a fan favorite. never heard her described as a joke character, and I'm a little older. Grew up in the 90s

I've met people that have said the same thing about Cyclops because " He just shoots a laser from his eyes" And storm because " she's black and makes the wind blow"..... Nightcrawler was my favorite (And I always wanted to play him when he was available) but I heard people like you say " He's lame because he can only teleport short distances and he looks weird".....
