Except that they weren't twins, they were half-brothers. Castor and his sister Clymnestra were the immortal twin children of Leta and Zeus, but Pollux and his sister Helen of Troy were the mortal twin children of Leta and her husband Tyndareus. See, the human Leta laid two different bird eggs - or maybe just one egg that all four were inside. It's not clear. But the important thing is, if a god disguised as a swan has sex with a human woman she will lay eggs. With human-looking children inside. For me the craziest part is everything medical. He healed without any scars and in no time at all. Neither of them had issues with skin transplant from another person. Bone structure didn’t effect either guys new face. Next problem is how they were able to imitate each other to the point nobody knew something was wrong. The son thing, for me, was just creepy.

In after everyone else: a while ago I caught a DVD with a french film (forgot the title, I might find that thing again, tho; damn my chaos here), starring Gerard Depardieu. what caught me was that the cover text with the synopsis reads a lot like the premise for this movie. if I'm not mistaken the french film was from the 80's, and they only switched the souls, not the faces. still very sci-fi... have to dig up that DVD and watch it.

This movie was so outrageous. Epitome of 90s action thriller. Nothing made sense with even a little tiny bit of thought. I loved it. This exact style is mirrored in every Pearce Brosnan bond film. Also Mission Impossible 2. There was a weird obsession with motorcycles and boats in 90s action movies.

This movie's plot is so batshit crazy and I love it. It's undoubtedly one of my favorite guilty pleasures of all time. Director John Woo doubles down on his trademarked slow motion, birds, firing 2 guns while falling, vehicle chases, and quippy dialogue.
