Death anxiety is not spoken of enough, so refreshing to hear other people talk about this as I have tried to talk about it and it gets brushed off, I lost my mum at 16 and Dad at 27 and it comes in waves but it really is a weird feeling

Such a great interview! Jamie, you let them speak rather than inject yourself into the thread of the conversation and by being so attentive and patient, they reveal so much of themselves. Well done you for being such an authentic and humble interviewer. And Will Young - you are amazing! You come across as clearly in touch with yourself and authentic and compassionate and down to earth. Clearly, from what you show, you have done a lot of deep diving and exploration into yourself and it shows. Also, you demonstrate that you will take no prisoners, life is short and we all better live it to the best while we can. Thank you for your raw honesty and trust in not only Jamie, but in the audience. It was inspirational and touching at the same time.

A great interview Jamie, thank you. The bullying and brutality I experienced at my Secondary School shaped my whole life. With such low self esteem and self worth I simply couldn’t mentally cope with the rejection anymore as a jobbing Actor. I became dependent on alcohol (almost 12 years sober now) and still suffer with anxiety and depression, good days and bad days. I remember meeting Will years ago when I auditioned for a boy band that the ‘This Morning’ programme were putting together. We chatted a few times, he was a really friendly, intelligent, kind young man. I’m pleased that he continues to be ‘contrary’ and to use his platform in such a positive, considerate way as many simply don’t. Good luck with the new Album Will, you write so incredibly well and deserve every happiness from life, truly.

Hi, this was an amazing interview, Will’s honesty is truly inspirational. I too have gone through the grief of losing a brother to suicide. Its something you learn to deal with but never get over, people treat you differently, even now 28 years later you still get that pity look when you talk about it, most dont want to discuss things but what people need to realise is that you need to talk about your lost love one. I just wish it was made more aware to others that its more common than you realise particularly with men taking their own lives even with todays knowledge it still seems to be a taboo subject.

HOw much I realliy liked his personality already then and ever since whenever i read his interviews or saw him in the media. Beautiful smart person with tuns of empathy and despite his privilaged upbringing understanding challenges of lives of others around while having to deal with all the traumas of his own life. Such inteligent and beautiful person. And your way of leading the interview Jamie, that only brought more out of him. Two great guys having a wholesome meaningful discussion. What a treat. He was lovely wanted to know about my friend as tears were streaming as he signed an autograph. He invited me to walk to his coach with him was very concerned about how at midnight I had missed my last bus and how I was going to get home did I have money for my taxi I did. He even asked the coach driver was he passing central station I think I would of got a lift if he was.

I have no idea wht Will Young would feel anything but proud of himself, his successful career,so many interesting things hes done both in music and other artistic endeavours and all the mental health struggles he has battled with including the tragic loss of his brother which obviously must have been a huge trauma,he has every reason to be proud and feel fucking great about himself. I really hope he doent shut up about mental health and the effects of trauma and and abuse and how so many people are diagnosed with various mental health issues and yet its down to suffering the effects of various traumas both large and small and not always obvious ones either. I hope he keeps on speaking for people who dont have access to his wealth or economic privileges and advocates for people to have more access for tthe kind of therapies he had access to.Many people need access to more choice of therapeutic otions which the NHS does not provide and their lives don't need to be ruined if they could get the right help and support and also not get labelled and diagnosed by a mental health system which more or less ignores their trauma altogether. Keep speaking up Will for all those who do not have the voice or platform you have or if it effects your career then support others who are speaking out

Absolutely ADORED this honest brilliant interview with Will, massive congratulations xx I was a massive fan from the beginning, have all his albums and last went to see him two years ago at Kew gardens ❤. Also need to add that I personally met his brother in rehab back in 2010 and OMG, fell head over heels in love with him...his only sign of vulnerability I caught at the time were the massive scars of cuts up both arms, I realised he also had his demons 😢 Was friends with him for a time until he met someone...And years later I saw the news of his suicide in the paper and was absolutely DEVASTATED and also really angry that psychiatrists hadn't realised he was in danger as I was, sectioned him and PROTECTED him more 😢 The Channel 4 documentary Will made a out his brother and his alcoholism etc was SOO BRAVE and I will always admire him for his authenticity and awakening ppl all over about mental health. THANK YOU SOO MUCH ❤ I have always wanted to meet Will Young in person and he remains one of my favourite artists to this day...im a year older than him so relate massively. This was just like watching him talk in private and I would have loved to have known him AND his brother more. Truly special person and I always realised it just from his voice 🥰

I doubt Will ever reads these comments but Rupert died just like so many others of the patients at Capio Nightingale at that time. George Michael was my smoking buddy , I never realised what a big deal he was, he was just a grey haired guy who smoked roll ups (R.I.P), Amy Winehouse and Georgia Pemberton as well as so many others...I feel so truly blessed to have completely recovered from my anorexia, it was a hellish time of my life xx

Life will be about happiness and sadness and everyone life will be different. Life is about what you do in it that matters. Will Young was honest about his life in the video and I am glad that his life continues no matter how difficult life can be. Everyone life whether celebrity or not will be different as we all experience different things at different stages. Life is precious so please make the most of it all the time. I hope his music career continues for many years but glad he advises that he goes through all these life challenges with mental health such as anxiety. I totally understand it as others do . Also I hope he finds love as that is what we are looking for in life even though it can be hard to find it but it comes when you least expect it. Thank you for the video as we all strive to do well in our life while facing life challenges . There was funny moments in the interview as it nice to see the comical side of being human through a celebrity.
