How much more minimal can you get with a cage? I want the most protection and chassis stiffness with minimal to no impedance on ingress and egress for a semi-daily or daily-able weekend car. I expect it to run as fast as mid-9s/140mph with a 150 shot or mid-10s/130mph all motor according to the projected weight and power figures. Should I just run it N/A at the strip and only do a roll bar and leave the bottle for rolls, or what?

@@Drunken_Hamster an 8.50 cage like in the vid is the minimum amount of cage you’ll need to run faster than 10.00/6.40. If you stay slower than that a 6 point cage will be fine

@@LoganbuiltRaceShop Can you make the diagonal door bar removable? How intrusive or dangerous to the head in street driving conditions would you say the halo and A-pillar down bars are for a smaller car like a 300zx? I read on forums and heard in some videos that cages for the street might be more dangerous than safe and to stick with a rollbar at most unless actually tracking your car, then also use harnesses, helmets, and HANS device when racing...
@LoganbuiltRaceShopАй бұрын
@ well if the concern is hitting your head on the street then a roll bar would be just as dangerous. The main hoop is the only tube your head is going to come into contact with. If you’re concerned about having any amount of cage on the street then I suppose you might as well leave it a street car and don’t take it to the track.

@@LoganbuiltRaceShop Aren't main hoops on normal cars at least 4-6 inches behind the seat? Wouldn't the headrest, especially on a fixed back seat, prevent your head from striking the main hoop?
@LoganbuiltRaceShopАй бұрын
@ main hoop can be behind the seat on any cage
