She was taken off because phi phi was suppose to be on all stars 1 but got arrested. Production was gonna push those two to be partners or just another storyline and since phi phi wasn’t on, they decided to cut willam. They need a replacement so they got mimi.

The problem with [most] reality TV shows is the cast is usually treated like garbage. They aren't given a VIP luxury experience like A list celebrities would because let's be real, most people who sign up for reality TV start out with little to no following. They're psychologically manipulated/abused by producers into stirring shit up for entertainment value. Their phones are confiscated, and aren't allowed to talk to anyone outside of the show while filming (which can sometimes be months at a time). Cast members that are voted off/lose, regardless of if they are the first contestant booted, or the last, have to sit in a hotel room with no communication with the outside world until the show wraps - for fear that they might leak information. This has been going on for decades, and it's kinda crazy how no one really talks about it. If they do, no one really listens.

Honestly, William has been one of my favorite queens to watch since the show! Coming up through drag in the non traditional route... you could tell he was somewhat envious of the drag family sisterhood he missed out on. Regardless of whether or not this was authentic or just a narrative that production amplified, they just strike me as one of the most authentic, generous, and loyal ‘ride or die’ friends you could have. Someone who you don’t have to wonder where you stand with and who’s honesty is intended to help, not hurt. And so supportive of others in the industry with his promotion of who to see where too! I’ve listened to a lot of interviews and I can understand why some who haven’t- might have the perception of a brash comedic wild child but I see them as a highly intelligent and independent individual with a huge heart (while, of course, also being incredibly talented and entertaining).

Joseph did a full interview with Phi Phi and they are actually good friends. She’s sometimes featured on Race Chaser (Willam and Alaska’s podcast). Of course with cameras on you, you’re making tv. So was the sharon and phi phi drama amplified on their part? YES. But wouldnt you do the same? Producers love that and will often push for more cause its tv gold. And thats what they did which obviously makes it more interesting for them both to proceed as far as they did... the finale.
