I agree with Willam re: Shannel's Liberace. Her characterization was perfect, I found her's to be funnier than Nina's. Nina just played more to that sense of humour that RuPaul loves. Which isn't a bad thing, it's smart. I just hated the critique the judges gave when they said Nina's Liberace had a point of view and Shannel's didn't. Shannel's point of view was fucking crisp dude. So smart.

I like Kara. Chicago has some great drag queens. Kara doesn't just do Roscoe's. I can see why Batty is there, but I find her to be really rough and kinda scary. Kara is very involved in the planning and organization of the shindig. Naysha just flies in for the night. Naysha is very full of herself, but she's like JLo - as long as she gets a few compliments she calms the fuck down and tries to act like she enjoys being there. Plus every now and then Naysha knows shit. Like the $250,000 for Plastique's package was some real tea. That info is gonna be on every review and podcast. It's an obscene amount of money. Gottmik's The Scream dress cost 30k on it's own. I guess those two should win the runways!

Idk if it's the format or the number of contestants idk why but this is the first time I don't feel invested, and it doesn't have to do with so many drag race seasons/spin-offs available. I enjoy everyone of them but this AS9 I am so uninvested ... I can't be the only one.... 🙈

Yeah there needed to be more stakes like Trinity Taylor suggested on Sibling Rivalry that maybe if there's no elimination but they could lose a badge that would keep it interesting. Personally I would've loved to see lipsync asassins back but it might've been too devastating since maybe just one or two queens would be able to keep up.. I think for the last AS non elimination worked because everyone was on THAT winner level and we wanted to see more of everyones skills. But for this one some of the girls looks aren't quite up there, some of their acting isn't quite up there, for some the comedy isn't quite up there and for some the lipsync and dancing isn't up there.. Almost everyone is kind of showing that most got eliminated before the top for a reason and most of them haven't/aren't really pushing themselves to learn new skills. If it was an elimination season that would be fine but keeping everyone when their performance is kinda mid makes for a kind of unexciting season. It's been worth it for some of the looks and a few highlights but theres still a lot left so im hoping there will be a twist or something. As far as I can see only Plastique this far has shown real growth, other girls have done well in what they do well and flopped in what they flopped in before.
