Good that you released all "wild" fish. Fish stocks continue to decline and every fish that manages to return to spawing grounds is essential to survival of the fish and continued angling opportunities. California has had a barbless regulation, size limit, and daily limit for 4 decades for sport anglers when fishing in the ocean. Mindlessly there is not a barbless hook regulation in California rivers that would be consistent with the ocean regulation. Hope you have a good season this year!!

daleportorford it’s been tough for sure. I think river conditions have made opportunities limited.

I used to be a commercial fisherman from 1976-1991. We had a big el nino in 83 I believe and the salmon runs were horrible. No feed, no plankton, no Krill, nothing for them to eat. I think that's the reason.. El Nino.
