For those people who think you made a bad decision.... 1- Sell your homes, buy a Van and live in it 2- Don't forget to take All of your Pet(s). 3- Live, drive , look for public restrooms, find places to sleep, & As Always have some type of Protection on you & plan for anything that wasn't planned 4- Continue to post videos of Van life, adventures & run a home business. 5- Remember to continue running that home business all the while doing all of the things above & Editing, Posting Videos to UTube... 6- This is His & Rambos Life NOT Yours! I just discovered you today and have been watching van life type of videos. I love camping and used to do as much mountain (Smokies) tent camping as possible. My husband passed away in 2014 after being sick for 11 years or so and I am now 73. I really miss being in the mountains and traveling around camping. Your apartment looks just right for you and I really like the way you have furnished it! Yes, I would love to see cooking videos by you and would enjoy it if you would show us around San Diego. I was in that area for a wedding several years ago but didn't get to spend a lot of time looking around.

I'm binge watching your channel after the first video about you quitting vanlife came up in my feed. I chuckled as you showed the tv because you very smartly showed your video on the t.v. Great idea about putting the dog bed on the larger carpet. I'll have to do that for our dogs. I love the apartment tour. I'm sorta kinda your neighbor. (located in Fontana) I know I'll love the beach content. I cook 99.9% at home. Yup cooking videos would be nice too.

One of the best things to do in a small apartment is buy a counter-depth refrigerator. Mine is 11 cu.ft.and perfect for me. It makes your kitchen feel more spacious, and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

You know what you're missing ?.. A good pair of speakers and stands (+ Amp), with a streamer of some kind. Maybe also a small to medium aquarium ( Freshwater (easy) 20 long / hex or such), a green plant or two (of different heights), and that would finish the setup nicely...

I can so relate to this! I was on the road living out of a trailer for 3 years. I got tired of relocating for a job every 4-6 months and needed to settle down, work and save. I also wanted to be closer to my adult kids I got a full time job at an apartment complex and an apartment so l don’t have to commute. I sold my trailer. I needed a break and settling down in a comfortable apartment is great after years of living in a trailer. Like you, l had to spend a lot of money to buy furniture and creature comforts. I got 2 televisions..one for the living room and 1 for the bedroom! I actually had a toilet and microwave in my trailer but it was wonderful to have tons of space for myself, my stuff and my dog, who grew up in the trailer, loves the apartment too. She goes back and forth between the living room couch and our bed because she CAN! 😂 That said, I am restless and miss being on the road. Weekend camping doesn’t do it for me. If anything, it’s made me more determined to get away from people and civilization. So l have put a down payment on a new off road trailer that will be ready in 2024 and will hit the road again in 2024-25, when l can retire. Yep, l am planning to yet again sell everything l own and live in a small trailer again. As much as l appreciate the creature comforts of stick and brick living l still get out and go camping whenever l can and long for the freedom of being on the road. I have a good job, a nice apartment with a beautiful view of the mountains but l am now actively planning and saving to go back to where l was before. What apartment living has done for me has made me appreciate the nomadic life..the opposite of your situation. Personally, l couldn’t live in a van because l like my vehicle to be separate from my actual living space. I prefer a trailer for that reason and l can leave camp to run errands, explore, etc. much more easily. Plus, if my tow vehicle breaks l still have my trailer to live in. The trick with full timing in a small space like a van or small trailer is to live out of it rather than in it. Except for bad weather days l rarely spent time inside my trailer. It’s not for everyone. BTW, my Lab Dax loves the apartment but still enjoys camping!

I love your apartment! I really like studio apartments in general, especially ones with decent size kitchens and bathrooms. I know a lot of people can't get over having their bed out in full view but it wouldn't bother me. And might inspire me to keep my bed a lot neater and free from clutter. I have a king size bed just for myself, so I tend to fill half of it with clothes and other stuff 😂. Glad you had the opportunity to do the van thing, for whatever length of time it was right for you.
