I bought this tripod a few weeks ago and so far I love the versatility. Just a quick point, a few people have mentioned not being able to adjust the tension of the panning motions, but I've been able to do this simply by twisting the handles, although if you want a tighter/stiffer tension then make sure the tripod is weighted!

Some details you mentioned (hard time balancing the camera, odd placement of the little locking knob, etc.) I had never heard of before seeing your content. Yeah that plate knob’s a bit rough - love the fluid head / double tilt action though. Just did a review and the tripod surprised me for sure! It’s like a Compact Action Pro

The legs have been great, the head not so much, it’s ok in a pinch but doesn’t compare to a larger more solid video fluid head. That opinion is purely based on video shooting, the head is fine for photography but then there are simpler light options available if just using for photography
