I really like your sound and we have similar vocal ranges. I assume you use a shotgun mic out of frame - do you have a video on your sound processing for KZbin?
@SamHolland2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thank you. Yeh I have this video here which is fairly old but the tips still apply. I also have audio presets on my website which you can link from my description kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYDGnqRjqNyho68 Thank you. 🎥🙏🏻🤩

Thanks for the input, the fact you said it could be a studio tripod is probably why I will go ahead and get it. Also I hope you like final cut, it’s a smoother editing interface, Adobe has a couple advantages to fcp, but I think adobes disadvantages are just too drastic and unacceptable. I’ve been using both for 6 years now and Adobe still has so many bugs and crashes

Thanks for the awesome review. I've been looking at this rather oddly for bird photography. I've always thought fluid heads were great for nature shooting as that drag improves accuracy. But your typical fluid head is only pan and tilt and also pretty hefty in weight. Always loved 3 way heads for landscapes too. Having individual control over the horizontal and vertical tilt makes framing so much easier than the chaos of a ball head. So even when I'm not birding, this seems like the one for me. I currently use a gimbal head when shooting with my Canon R7 and the RF 800mm, but at 1.5kg before you've even put it on a tripod... That is no fun to be lugging around. Then there is the way I use a tripod when I'm moving between shots - like a walking stick. I have the recent model Befree tripod, but the one with the twist lock legs (which I don't like personally, wanna trade? lol) and I like to extend the centre column and hold the handles of the head like a walking stick. But with the gimbal the weight it off centre and it annoys me. If I had the fluid head, I could point the lever up and have it as the perfect handle for walking with.

Awesome review. I was actually looking for a manfrotto tripod that has the clamps instead of the twisty things. I have one with the twisty things and when its cold, its a painfull pain in the hands to twist and remove it. I find the clips easier for some reason. Or at least, I think so from usong it on stands. Thanks for your video!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🎬🔥🔥

Sam, Thanks for the detailed review! Do you have any idea as to what the hole above the pan handle does on this tripod (for accessory)? This hole is directly below one of the bubble levels. I have been using this tripod for about seven months taking outside nature and landscape shots/video. The fluid head is extremely flexible and legs are very sturdy.

If its light enough I think it would be great for traveling & studio work.

Hey Sam! You may be the only KZbinr who could get me to watch a 10-minute video starting with “Let’s talk tripods...😴” when I own so many, but I stayed for the funny as usual, and I gotta say dude...Kudos for being able to say “Three-way Head” so many times on camera with variable leg positions and all without cracking up! 😄 Or was it the magic of editing? Btw, the exposure and colour on your shot look so good. Still the EOS R plus Ninja V? I‘m trying to graduate from Luma-Kindergarten to Davinci College so...I feel your pain. Cheers till the next one! 👍🏾

@@SamHolland thanks yeah it did. But I still can’t decide if I need one though as I’ve got a ronin sc and a cheap but usable £15 tripod so do you think I need to get a better one? 🤔
@SamHolland3 жыл бұрын
It’s all down to your needs and budget to be honest. This one will be so much smoother for pan and tilts so you’ll get less jolty-shakey movements. But if you don’t use movement then you’ll be fine.

Good video, but it's not totally clear which two models of tripods are you comparing--Which are the two model #'s? Good video though! Finally, I think the CLAMPS are more intuitive. You can see in an instant, oh -it is clamped! That's good when stress is high and errors cost a lot of trouble!

Hey there! A novice question - do you have to count the weight of the tripod head towards my 6kg payload, or does the tripod and head support 6 kg of gear? Thanks a million for the cool video :)
@SamHolland3 жыл бұрын
Hi good question. 6kg is what the tripod head and legs can take. Because it takes into consideration the strength of the grips on the tilt, pan, and roll axes. I hope this helps 🤩🙏🏻 thanks for watching 🎥

so, you use it for projects, but I’m just starting with videos with my a6700. Since it’s so light, even with lenses and a monitor would you recommend I use it for all of my work or find a more sturdy tripod? By the way, another excellent video. I’m learning a lot. Thanks

Hi. If you’re ready to make videos for money, then go for it! 🤩💪🏻 if you feel like you need some practise first, then get creative and experiment. If you did work for other people now, you would gain experience early. Whatever you do will be good for you. 🙏🏻🎥 thanks for watching 🤩 all the best!
