I can remember being mesmerised by his stage presence as a kid watching Spider-Man! I’m 25 now. This man has been the face of some of the greatest films I’ve ever seen in my life. Every few years he appears in something spectacular from a performance or technical perspective. Honestly mean when I say I’ve not seen anyone else so deserving of this immortalisation in stone. I was seven when the first Raimi Spider-Man movie came out, and even to this day I still get chills from watching Willem Dafoe’s incredible performance as the green goblin, especially the mirror scene. I was especially excited when I first learned he was reprising the role in No Way Home (and working alongside fellow Raimi Spider-Man actor Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock). Dafoe is a legend and definitely deserves his star on the Walk of Fame. Congratulations, Mr. Dafoe, and may your acting career continue to be as illustrious as it always has

Willem Dafoe has always made his characters feel so true to himself and to the source material. He rarely takes a role where he doesn't feel he can do justice to how the character was meant to be portrayed, and it shows. I don't think there's ever been a role Dafoe has played that hasn't left me fully satisfied.

Postscript: Just one more thing. In the movie "Platoon," there's a scene in the beginning where Dafoe tells the young recruit (played by Charlie Sheen), "I'll pack it for 'ya," telling him that he would carry his gear this first day in the field. To me, that was the greatest single line of the entire movie because it showed the enormous ability of this man to pack so much compassion and heartfelt emotion into just a few words, the talent of a pure genius. In fact, it's crazy but this one line remains my favorite of Willem's entire career.
