Thank you Crime Uncut for your good report, common sense and strict scientific opinion in this case. Your commitment, knowledge invaluable. As someone I admire in the field of forensics and facts, has repeatedly said, "May truth and justice be seen to prevail". Pray in this case too. Thank you for your shared exceptional work in the delivery of forensic work (through strict scientific methodology and detective work) on the tragic Inge Lotz case ("Bloody Lies Too") where the murder still walks "free", as well as shared work, exceptional books "Oscar vs The Truth" and also the Dewani debacle, "Bloodied Bride". One despairs with regard to the shoddy police and prosecution work associated with all these cases and others.

This was more an opinionated video than a factual video (he stated this himself as not all evidence is released ). In a state of panic why would you remove your flipflop and lip balm, why only slightly open the window when you can rather climb through, why with sudden impact of water would you pull the hand brake up, why try crack a window if it's shatterproof (he would've known this) and dry drowning is just as rare as secondary drowning with adults why is it convenient to say it's dry drowning(if you want to google ). I am not saying he's wrong ,but there are just a lot of questions that need a proper and honest explanation. If it was truly an accident , fewer questions would have occurred. Follow the evidence, wait for the evidence ,the truth will come out with time ,"hastige hond verbrand sy mond."

I have done extensive research on dry drowning in adults because it happened to my husband while on holiday. Anxiety and shock can lead to a dry drowning. Holding your breath for too long can also lead to dry drowning. Reflux can lead to dry drowning. It happens more often in adults than you think. Because it happens once or twice and help is available it does not get diagnosed and reported on. My husband said that it feels as if there is something stuck in your throat and you just can't breathe.

Can you please help with an explanation for why the wheel tracks would not have been found then all the way from where his bakkie apparently left the road? Using maps and the images shown in your video. The road from the parking area to the turn is approximately 70m, assuming max acceleration (11.6sec from 0 -100km/h). He would have been at 65km/h at most at the turn. Now, if he then realized he was of from the road, and he then started applying the breaks, using the same bakkie specs for deceleration (3.6 sec from 100-0), the bakkie would have came to a standstill at 24.18m. Yes this is on the assumption of adequate skid resistance, which was not the case. But the distance from the turn where the road stops to where the wheel tracks were located is around 50m. In perfect conditions he would be able to stop within 25m. Even if wet conditions this bakkie would have been able to break before entering the river. If you argue that the tracks that were under water for days did not wash away then these tracks would extend higher up on the river bank? This part does not seem so plausible?
@CrimeUncut8 ай бұрын
When you calculate stopping distance - there are two components - the perception-reaction distance and the actual barking distance. Under the circumstances it could have taken him up to 2.5 seconds - to observe a danger - to process it - to make a decision and then to start braking. At 65 km/h that equates to 45 meters before he even starts braking. The static coefficient of friction between wet grass and a tire is about 0.3 - that means a max. deceleration rate of about 2.9 m/s^2. (wheels locked - skidding). At 65km/h it would then take 56 m to stop. At 40 km/h he would have travelled about 28m during perception reaction and another 20m to stop. As to why there weren't wheel marks before the paved area - I don't know. It is possible that this area were more compacted as result of vehicle activity over the years. The area on grass between the river and the paved area possibly were not so well compacted. But we don't only have marks - we also have damage to the paved area - and that is what drew attention to the wheel marks. If there were any marks leading to the paved area while the damage was still covered by water - no-one would have taken much notice of the tracks - and would not have made an effort to document and to preserve it.
@marnevantonder838 ай бұрын
@CrimeUncut thanks for your reply. The 2.5sec is an average in traffic engineering could have been more or less. And the 65km/h is the absolute max he could have traveled. Your calculations also prove that he might have stopped in time. This would have caused skid marks of some kind. I am not trying to argue for the sake of arguing, just trying to follow logical reasoning. Just think that there should have been clear tracks leaving the gravel road. Grass doesn't grow well in "compacted" soils and rather in claying soils, which is more plastic. Drive off from any gravel road on a farm in wet conditions, and the wheel track will be clearly visible. Another point I am finding hard to believe is how someone could mistakenly leave the road and head towards the river without knowing what's happening and then drive straight through a bunch of trees without hitting anything? Quite impressive. Considering the weather conditions and time of night, this is not very plausible? Thanks for your detailed response.
@CrimeUncut8 ай бұрын
Good questions. Say he needed 50 m to stop (PRT + Braking) - at 40 km/h. If the conditions were so poor that night - with the dark and heavy rain that he could not even see 50 m ahead - he would not have been able to stop in time. I will think about your wheel track question - but just want to say at this time the area leading up up to the paved area had much denser lush grass than the area where the tracks were observed - when the grass were sparse and patchy and more bare soil is visible. I will show photos in the my next video I am currently working on to show the difference.

If you look at where the bakkie was standing, according to the GPS, and the water level the next day, it would appear that the bakkie was switched off at the time the water took it. That area was under water when the search srarted.
@sv_endless63409 ай бұрын
You CANNOT push a auto in park number 1. Number 2, the tracks on the ground cleary do not show dragging, which means all 4 wheels was rolling freely. The handbrake was also engage. My theory. The young one drove hit the water, while being under the influance put car in park, handbrake switch of car, removed keys, as it is a normal attitude, and wanted to get out, NOT realizing he was all ready stuck in the car with the water pushing on the door and the force so great you cannot open doors. resulting in drowning.

These things could have happened after he drove into the river. I am still however waiting for a remotely plausible explanation - with at least some supporting indications - how the truck was placed that deep in the river on the dark Monday night before before it was found - with the transmission in park and the handbrake up. Any ideas?

@jjvanzyl30758 ай бұрын
Lot’s of problems with your depiction of what could have happened. If he drove into the river as seen on the photos should there not have been certain aces where the ground leading towards the river would have picked up damage due to the wetness of the ground and the bakkie driving over the ground. It doesn’t seem like there were any place that was disturbed like this that is in the line in which he was alleged to have driven in. If you claim that when he hit the water that he could have panicked and switched off the engine and pulled out the keys. It could have been, but why in such a instance would he switch off the lights. Would the owner of the lodge and the employees at that time agree to a polygraph. Were all the cctv footage of every minute of every day available. There is no way that with the river in flood that the bakkie when entering the river could have caused the damage to that path on the bottom leading into the river. Even if you drive into the river without a flood present you would not be able to cause such damage if the wheels were turning. If the wheels were stuck and could not turn and a bakkie was either dragged or pushed into a river it is more likely to cause such damage. When he allegedly drove into the water he would have had to hit the windscreen with such a tremendous force that it had to fling his whole body forward with such a force to break a windscreen. Firstly this kind off force is not possible because you are not driving into a solid object. You are driving into water at an angle. Very unlikely if not impossible that he can hit his head with such a force that it would crack open the windscreen so that water would stream in. If he hit his head with such a force that it would have broken the windscreen then there would not be enough force to throw his body back so that the back of his head would hit the back side of the bakkie again. The only way possible is if the whole windscreen was broken to such an extend that there were large amounts of water that would stream in and would fling him back. In this case the bakkie would not float but sink immediately which means the location for the bakkie to be found should have been close to where it entered the water. To my knowledge and I could be wring this lodge is not that busy during the week which means a bigger likelihood of not being seen if you were doing something like dropping a car into a river with a helicopter. I an not saying this is what happened but because of the remoteness of the area and their not being many eyes in the area it is possible to do something like this without someone seeing this happen. I am not saying that this is murder but there are still a lot of things that do not add up which requires further investigation. With all respect, if this is the way you conduct other crime scenes as well then you are the last one to criticise any actions of the police. If you don’t know the full extent of the injuries sustained to the deceased then you cannot make any determination. If you knew anything about investigation then you would know that the autopsy performed determines the direction in which the investigation will run. If you don’t know the severity of the injuries and how many and where all the injuries are then you cannot make any conclusion in this case.
