Not sure if you've ever been, but you guys should def try a trip to Savannah,GA. Super historic, beautiful Spanish moss filled trees, amazing low country marshland and Tybee Island Beach. It's about a hour and a half from Charleston too! I know most people the southern region is all the same but, even when you go from coastal North Carolina to South Carolina/ Georgia the landscape is completely different when you go down into the "low country".I Think you guys would have a great time and create some great images! Also damn that image at 11:16 give me Shore vibes!

Great video. Wonderful photos. Thanks for sharing. We used to spend the xmas hols at the North Sea coast in Northern France, just opposite England and I know all about sand and storms. We soon enough learned to turn our pockets inside out before entering the house when we returned in the evening so as not to have the whole place full of sand.

Incredible photo's from ya'll! I really think you and your friends would have an absolute blast exploring the Canadian east cost provinces like Nova Scotia, PEI or Newfoundland. It's so beautiful out there that you might end up with a new home and I'm not joking either. Happens to lots of Canadians who travel out that way.

Your photos out there are amazing! I love shore photos and these are completely over the top. Your firend's photos, too. Some of the birds in flight and, well, this is just an awesome video. Shout out to you for getting the colors of all of these film photos as well as the video to display so well on KZbin! That has to be an art and science in it's own right. Cheers, Willem! ✌

What aperture and shutter speed helped achieve the blurriness of the waves in these shots? Awesome video as always Willem! 🙌🏻
@lachlanchester814211 ай бұрын
Well for blurriness you need a slower shutter, and if it’s light out that’ll also mean you need a smaller aperture (bigger f number) or a filter, personally for landscapes I just always use the smallest aperture so the shutter speeds can be quite long

12:59 Just looking at this makes me cringe. I was photographing sand dunes in conditions like this on Gran Canaria in Spain with a Hexar AF. Sand must have gotten into the camera, and it needed repair after. Be VERY careful exposing your electronically controlled cameras to these conditions. 15:36 Yes, and there it is again. My sand PTSD. Thank you, Willem.

That's what Pentax DSLRs are for. Just clean them under running water and all is fine again. :-)
@thedarkslide11 ай бұрын
@@fotoralf I've been shooting Olympus digital cameras for close to 20 years now too, starting with the E-5 all the way to the E-M1III now I have a tough workhorse setup for bad conditions - but even those I wouldn't take into a sand storm. Sand gets everywhere and it's impossible to get it out again. Not even with the weather sealing of Pentax or Olympus would I do that.
