I just want Embark to add more gameshow-y features that make the game more unique and engaging. Just spitballing here, but instant/post-match replays, more specific voice lines, bonus rounds and second chance offerings, nemeses and bonuses for bagging yours, a more dynamic crowd (cheers and boos for higher fan count players, laughs at funny deaths, gasps during upsets, silence and suspense during last man standing situations), separate intro and outro (win) poses/animations, price is right style nametag badge cosmetic items, etc. Honestly the bonuses just being "money" is probably fine if they contribute to those contracts and stuff. Just things to make the world more interesting and every match special. Fun/funny awards for players after the match (like in Worms or GoldenEye, etc) could also be fun.

I second this. More convincing diverse commentary and an overall attempt to enhance the game show feel. The crowd doesn’t feel like they’re really reacting to the action. I’m thinking for one map you could have the crowd as faces/avatars behind screens or holograms like in the black mirror episode - fifteen million merits.

If the devs do watch the videos, my recommendation would be to create a bigger roster of in'game events like low gravity or alien invasion etc. And please, don't steer away from the game mode that makes this game unique. Focus on Cashout, improve it, make it more fun, add new mechanics. I've seen a lot of people talking about new game modes to bring new players to the game, and tbh, this is not the way. If someone wants to play TDM there is other games for this. The FINALS is unique, and if it continues being unique it will eventually grow. Just look at TF2. Released in 2008, and it is pulling more numbers today than games like OW2 or Warzone. I believe it is because they have never changed what made TF2 TF2. You will succeed, just focus on the good parts of the game and don't worry about the players that just complain. This is the best game I've ever played and I'll continue to play it forever. They should also improve on existing events. Low grav should be reworked as it makes jumppads a no go (you will get beamed) it makes (charge n) slam a death sentence (you will get beamed) and meele and projectiles weapons even worse. I loved when alien invasion worked like a anti grav cube in Halloween event

I think they should mix up the world tour events more besides just rotating the maps and contracts. Maybe have 1 sponsors event (3 weeks) be a No Heavies week, a no lights week, and a no mediums week…maybe limit certain weapons on some weeks and on others limit gadgets etc. Mix things up and force players to adapt to keep things interesting. Just do weird and interesting things all of the time. And for those that don’t want that stuff they will always have their vanilla game modes and/or the ranked queues.

I'd like to see a 'live match spectate' option. Who says contestants of The Finals can't also be fans? That way content creators can rack up real fans, or maybe random players can choose clips to upload to their career profile to gain fans for when they play! This could also inspire content creator based sponsors that can compete with the in-game ones. That's all the creativity I'll share for now, but epic video! To truly sell this game as a real esport, you're going to NEED to figure out spectating and replays. I know that it's incredibly difficult with the dynamic nature of the destruction and how much data would need to be saved to facilitate this, but you could limit it to official tournaments and very high elo in the beginning, and maybe sell a small subscription to players of all elos to allow access to this system for their own games. This not only could cover the costs of the data retention for a short time, but if you can allow us to download the data to keep it for longer it would help keep the costs down as well. Custom camera views or camera dolly systems and a timeline system would absolutely change the game for those looking to upload game commentary, hype videos, cinematic replays, etc. and bring the community a ton of power to spread their love of this game simply through the community's passion. It can also help identify potential exploits and hold all players accountable in a time where there's a lack of trust for anti-cheat systems. In addition to the above, I would love to lean in to Cashout being the "Main" mode and the other modes being closer to an Exhibition type of match where the spectacle is more of the point than the intensity. The modes themselves don't have to change, but the commentary and even some really wacky in-game events (fistfight, anyone?; flowerpots only; bring back "Dead go Boom" with a visual element so there's some counterplay to it?; Big Heads??), can really sell the point that these modes are much more casual than Cashout and that we are here to primarily entertain the fans. Cashout for the drama, Power Shift (or other casual modes on rotation, maybe?) for the spectacle! Like F1 vs Demolition Derby.

Yeah I really like the ideas of an oil / ice grenade, cuz I was thinking about some sort of small or passive movement boost for the heavy, and I was thinking a about maybe a larger hitbox for the goo grenades, so heavies can use goo movement tech without having to find a canister, but an oil slip is more reasonable, as they probably wouldn’t make the goo grenade bigger exclusively to heavy - also I’d say maybe better voice lines, on the communication wheel to make solo-queueing more bearable when you’re paired with newer players

I’d like ranked scoring to be altered such you are not so heavily penalised if you loose a teammate in the first moments of a tournament- it often results in coming in last and receiving -600 to -800 point lose that’s 20 minutes of game play to recover that lose.

A lot of the time whenever i play ranked there are many teams who may get absolutely crushed by there opponents simply due to matchmaking and instead of having events that change the gameplay they should add events like "Double Cash" which can incetivise players who are dramatically last to not leave and instead stay in the game and try to cashout in order to stay in the game longer. Something like this can really spice up the game as now teams who are greatly ahead will have to lock in so they can keep their podium spot where lower podium teams have a chance at progressing. This aspect also ties in well with the game show style the Finals is going for.

I know they mentioned a kill cam is hard to implement because of destruction physics, but it would help so much with hackers/reporting. Its a free game, so there will always be cheaters. More ways to report/detect could go a long way to improving match quality.

I've had about 6 mediums out run me today. Unless the heavy has winch claw your chances are high if you get a head start. If you start running in circles or turning a lot I'll get you the majority of the time. Just got to learn when to stop shooting and run. Sometimes they run and then turn around and try to get one more shot in and that's just enough of a pause for me to get into range and get you. Don't need another reason to nerf heavy AGAIN, we have had enough of those.

Great game! I've been playing it all year 2024. The only thing that my friends and I don't like is the vrs accrual system. It takes too long to get enough of them. My friends get bored when they can't get a new gadget or weapon.

Hey Embark, if you're reading this please optimize the game. It's not as bad as launch but there are still framerate issues when I try to play. Also, there are two very strange bugs I have encountered. One is when closing the game on Steam it will turn off and then immediately boot back up unless I manually force it off once more. The other is a fatal bug that caused me to uninstall because it has blue screened my computer on boot several times. I don't know what could possibly cause these issues but there are definitely some tech side things that need to be tweaked. I like the game for the most part and would love to buy some of the skins your art team have clearly put a lot of work into but I cannot spend money on a game that acts up like The Finals does. Hopefully we'll see some big improvements soon!

1. Make more of a differentiation between World Tour and Ranked Tournaments. Maybe by making World Tour have mandatory team roles for 1 Heavy, 1 Medium and 1 light. 2. Ranked RS losings are too harsh. Saw someone else say: why make me lose all so much when I get paired up with 2 shitty light players and I carry the team with 10+ kills and alot of objective score and we still end last. Make the losing of RS be determined different between the 3 players of the losing teams or how severe it is based on the actual score they personally have. 3. Charg 'N Slam cooldown extended. 4. World Tour/ranked should have 1 oppurtunity during each game to allow switching between your reserve loadout mid game. Another 'loadout' coin to burn.

IF we want to keep open vault, take to cashout box idea - give money to the team that controls the cashout every second - whichever team holds it the longest is therefore rewarded with something - this gets rid of the annoying feeling of a team stealing it last second made all our good efforts worthless - give a small bonus to whoever controlled it at the end (when a new vault appears) OR a small bonus to whoever controlled it for the most amount of time ELSE Change out the cashout box into a device that shows you an outline of a vertical cylindrical control point your team needs to maintain control of (stay inside of) in order to gain money per second

Firstly, Love the game! I do feel we need more items/gadgets that allow for more weapons to not be outclassed. I've always been a non-traditional weapon player when a game offers it. I'm no different in The Finals. I run Spear for Heavy and Bow for Light primarily with Deagles and M11 as my alternatives when I can't keep pace with the off-meta stuff in a particular round or tournament. That said, I think there is room to add more non-traditional weapons like a Captain America style shield with RMB for defend and LMB to throw. A straight up boomerang would be fun too. I'd love to see a Flail for the Heavy as kind of a middle ground between the spear and sledge. In terms of items/gadgets: Impact grenades to help finish kills when playing melee weapons in all classes. Sustain/movement "abilities/items" like a dive or barrel roll or lunge to combo with weapons like sniper and melee. Will be balanced simply by giving up a utility slot to have it. Large shields and shielding items do need to be minimized. They are in an okay place right now, but even now if they start to stack the game loses its flow quickly. (We don't want OW.) Watching the vid and seeing the medium running blades shows the weapon itself pretty balanced in direct combat situations, it's the in between where certain weapons really struggle because their aren't enough options for that player to add value to the team when they aren't yet in melee range.

People are far too eager to use the Defib, when it's actually worse in many situations. The only time a defib is worth it is when you have very little time or have to cover a teammate. Slow revive takes 5 seconds but they come back full health. Defib takes 4 seconds and they come back with half health and a cooldown on all gadgets. You therefore only save one second, but lose health and abilities. But seeing as most people wait to heal fully before they engage in a fight you can effectively lose 15 more seconds until they rejoin the fight. You would probably have wiped at 5:12 if you got defibbed since you wouldn't have been able to heal him and you would have less health for example.

But the difference is you are vulnerable when you are reviving. You are able to damage your opponent or get in cover, or put your own abilities, it could make all the difference, two of them died basically trying to revive. If there are no opponents, and have time, revive or you putting yourself at disadvantage

My recommendation for the Devs would be to improve the experience for solo players. On World Tour for example, if you carry you team with 10+ eliminations and the other 2 players are weak links, you should not be penalized with 0 points if you are playing as a solo if you are a good player and knocked out round 1. It is tough to compete solo if you have no communication in game. Maybe allow for earning points if you are knocked out round 1, but do a certain amount of damage or have enough eliminations

Suggestion to Embark for a new game mode on the Finals... a. 4 teams of 4 b. each team has a Round Tower base (as in Bernal) c. Capture Data ports dotted around the map. d. Take back to your terminal at the tower to store e. Each data port is 10,000 but if you can steal another teams stored data port its worth 15,000 f. first too 100,000 is winner g. game keeps going no timer h. strategy is how to protect yours whilst grabbing or stealing data ports with only 4 players.

I’m sure the devs probably won’t see this, but I need to speak up. I love this game but most matches(especially quick cash) are unfair due to exploits. Here are the guns i believe should be nerfed. First: the m11 This gun has the ability to take a light that has full health and is actively dashing away down in about two seconds due to its rate of fire Second:turrets I know they have a cooldown before they can actually shoot, but they are too op. Even one turret can mow through hordes of heavy’s if they don’t see it first. It’s actually even worse in power shift where players will all go to medium and place Down 3-4 turrets on the platform, all facing outwards, making it impossible to reclaim. Third:spears Unlike other melee weapons, this one requires almost no skill. I have had a heavy hit me twice with this thing and instantly kill me. The range is far too long and is almost impossible to get away from if you’re not a light. It is simply too overpowering to the heavy(which is supposed to be defensive) Fifth:one other thing Could you guys make it to where we don’t have to hold the button to backstab? It doesn’t have a clear cue to even let you know when it’s ready…so could you at the very minimum give it a better for the dagger?

Maybe it’s just me but when playing causal modes I always get the same 3 teams (shock and awe, steamrollers, and the kingfish), and have stopped seeing the others that are used in rank (mighty, over dogs, retros, socialites, etc.) so I would like to see those return to casual modes, the same voice lines for those teams tend to get repetitive

Can they do it how they did in BF 3 and BF 4 that if you get revived in let's say the first 15-20 seconds you died,then it doesn't count towards your death? Me a father of 1 kid who have time to play like 6 hours/week fells embarassed to see always a negative stats however I get revived many times. It would motivate me to find more time to play if I would have more postivie K/D. :)

EMBARK - please make the colour of party members a different colour (perhaps green like COD does) to make it easier to play together without reading the moving blue names tags to know who is who! I feel like this would be a massive quality of life change for many :)
