I haven't posted anything new for a while since my motorcycle accident a few months ago in which I fractured my spine in 4 places... I am back to health now and working on a new album of all original blues-rock/hard-rock material! @@leenewman9637 Popper's stuff is insane! I can't really play like him but maybe I could do a video on his style- it's mostly major scale/mixolydian scale licks in the upper octave, but VERY fast and extremely well executed.

Oh yeah and don't forget he's playing one of his signature harps, a Wilde Tuned seydel steel. They're great harps but you need extra wind for low notes with the steel reeds.

Once you play along a little bit it will click. It was mind numbing for the first 30 seconds then it just clicks. I was already pretty fast on the high notes but playing along had made me cleaner and faster. Freebird is a blast catches people’s attention

This is the video that got me intrigued about the Wilde Tuning. I have since subscribed and watched just about all that’s on your channel. I love your sound and your approach to the blues, how you do what you do really resonates with me. A Seydel Wilde Tune arrived today and I must say it is easier to adapt to than you let on in some of your other videos. To me it feels like this is the way it should have been done all along. I got a C so I can shamelessly rip off some of your licks here and add them to my library of riffs. I got a blue tooth cube and busked to this song. Everyone was just mesmerized. I’m a humble guy o don’t like to brag. Those high notes are not hard to play once you figure it out. Drawing on every hole is cool. To figure the harp out just play along to will and it will click just like that. Don’t be afraid it’s a new tuning

I have a video of me doing this. After a couple dozens of times playing I finally noticed the first lick seems to have two double note notes for fat tone then an interval tongue block on the fourth and fifth before hammering down onto the root note. My mentor pointed this out watching me play it. I thought I was doing it right but when I played it like he said it sounded real nice and very powerful. I practice this jam over and over every single day. If I’m on our main st to busk this jam gets people’s attention it’s so different and crazy and Wilde all puns intended
