William Bennett is a highly underrated flutist. Ik love his tecnique, tone an interpretation. On an EMI album I have him in the sinfonia for flute and strings in Bach's cantata 'Ne se cha di dolore' Elly Ameling is the soprano. And one other album with Mozart's flute harp concerto. Especially when you listen with a good headphone on you can hear how special he is.

Bennett had one of the great flute sounds and always was musically appropriate. He was a brilliant musician and friendly man.

The piano is a bit too loud. We can not hear the flute very well at times.

Balance sounds excellent to me. I can hear every note and nuance of Bennett's playing. Maybe you are used to multi-miked recordings and their artificial sound and balance.
