That's the whole reason why the WNB is raising this issue. PPL has got an exclusive right over 10 km radius over the existing grid hence his request to unbundle this monopoly and allow provincial and local level governments to participate in the electricity supply service.

For me Micro Hydro is the way forward 💦 Mi ting² olsem wan² Landowner should have their own LO Companies that can produce power from their own resources such as rivers, geothermal, wind and solar from their own land. Internet is here and techology is here. There are multiple examples on KZbin around the world where simple people produce their own power. We can also do it in PNG ⚡💯🇵🇬

This is a request for the people, schools, health centers, churches etc. which are situated at the very remotes places. Can the government give the approval notice all the electrical stores around our beautiful nation to import and sell mini hydro kits from 1 - 10 kilowatts or more. We the people and our basic service providers in rural areas really up to buy these hydro kits and have an access to them by setting them up by ourselves. Fact is, till this date, some of us working or living in these remotest places had no chance are never been access to electricity since we were born or civilization till up to this date. In PNG, we are so rich and blessed with many small rivers and creeks to set up mini hydro power generators ourselves through watching from KZbin and internet. This is our request to you all our leaders and the Trade, Export and Import Minister take note of this request.

Go into solar power production. Produce extra 30MW for NCD, Central and Gulf. We have big land available. Do same for the Momase and Highlands grid. Produce 100MW. Engage a Chinese company to adopt BOT, supply, BUILT, OPERATE & TRANSFER. Is it too hard???
