I love this video and that high banker. My friends mother is from there and I was interested to see what it looks like. I've got a Keene mini Max High banker which is great and a lot easier to clean out but I like all the different sections to catch on that one. Another subscriber here. Congrats on teaching guys how to placer mine. I was in PGN for long enough to visit many places that was in 1973 ,the last year Australia was running the country. I was glad to see it go back to the natives.Did you try some material from the side of the river. Try loading material into buckets then tip into the high bunker. That way the shovellers dont need to move each shovel to the highbunker. About four buckets should do the trick. Good work you doing there.

Just a few tips , Two much water flowing through the sluice box and tooooo steep ? That gravel washed is low grade . But you’re having fun .

Something to consider is that the flow in the hopper is twice that of the flow in the sluice box, because the sluice splits into two levels. So the water flow always seems to look higher on camera than it actually is. The gold in this area seemed to be captured very well with the setup shown in this video, which is about 120 liters per minute (33gpm) over a 50cm (20 inch) wide sluice.

Throw away them flat bottom and and get some Batea pans. you will recover placer gold faster. My friends and I used up to 48 inch Batea pans sampling Vermillion River Ontario placer, and 16 inch pan for final recovery work

Nice video. I just have to wonder if they wouldnt be better off to leave the diggers down inthe deep holes to fill buckets half full and have some guys carry them to the highbanker. It looks difficult climbing out of the hole into a traffic jam with a full shovel. Lots of slipping and use of energy.

In the next video they start doing exactly that. The deeper the hole gets, the more helpful the bucketing becomes. Good call!
