I wonder if William and Jordan know the story of Noel Coward at Clarence House 🤔 The Queen Mother invited him to inspect the guards before heading inside, she caught him eyeing up a guardsman and she leaned in and told him “I wouldn’t bother Noel, they count them before they go back in!”

Thanks to social media, Halloween decorations has become glorious and extravagant over the years in America. There are Facebook groups dedicated to Halloween lover showcasing their work of art. Yes, people sometimes complain when Halloween decorations are too scary🙄.

I love you Will but Halloween is Irish lad. We dress up to blend in with the “spirits”. Trick or treating comes from story tellers going house to house where the storyteller would be given an apple or orange as the treat. Love the pod cast ✌️

When Jordan mentioned lifts l immediately thought of those things you put in shoes to make you less shorter. Growing up in Australia in the 70s, l didn't see any Halloween stuff, no decorations, trick or treating etc. But it has caught on but not in a big way. I see the odd house with tacky cobwebs and bats etc on front fences/gates. The supermarkets do get in on the action though with Halloween displays and the selling of overpriced mini chocolates/lollies (candies). I also enjoyed the pooltoy, l mean pool boy bit. It was funny. Definitely clap worthy.

William is quite right; Casper's (restaurant) did indeed put Kasper as a fourteenth, due to a run of people dying/ getting shot ...they used to use serving staff, but due to the sensitive nature (business deals etc) and the staff numbers down by one, they dropped the idea and replaced it with Kasper the cat!;-)

I think the problem with the box thing that’s the boys didn’t mention is this person clearly considers the box to be part of the present. So it must feel like it’s kinda like giving back the gift that they said they took time to find for you. 🤷♀️

Look at it this way...if someone I know is truly afraid of clowns, I wouldn't dress up as one. Why would I want to cause genuine fear or panic in someone when it's easily avoidable? As someone with CPTSD, perhaps I am maybe too sensitive and would appreciate it if someone else considered my feelings around my triggers, so I try to return the kindness of not harming them. Am I wrong for feeling this way?
@cneale94312 ай бұрын
No, I really disagreed with the boys here too. Crudely speaking, if you are deliberately dressing up as a murderous clown, you are intending to frighten people. And, crudely speaking, if you are intending to frighten people (a universally negative emotion), you are a terrible person.
@applegal30582 ай бұрын
@cneale9431 yes. Sometimes people like being scared or frightened. Like going to a haunted house or watching scary movies. This is not that situation. This is a friendly haloween party. The person expressed her fear and the person who wrote in didn't care about his or her feelings.

The dilemma at 26:00... I have to disagree, exactly for the reason you said William: Halloween isn't meant to be SCARY scary, but "play scary". I think if you actually dress up as a murderous clown, you're a terrible person basically because you're seeking to frighten people, which would be bad enough, but it is also people who are not looking for that. Although, frankly, of all the things William calls common, I'm surprised he didn't immediately say that the real etiquette blunder was attending a Halloween party in the first place.
